You keep ignoring the fact that multiple times since 1986 the supposed conservatives have been in control of the government and did NOTHING to make things any closer to what you are saying needs to happen. Why do you keep doing so?
The simple answer is because you have no desire to be an honest broker on the matter. You would rather complain like its only one side who dropped the ball on this, when in fact, the very people you are supporting to fix the problem are mostly the ones perpetuating it, since we both know that if the incentive to cross the border (you know, money) was taken away (you know, by punishing those that are hiring illegals), you wouldn’t need a single foot more of fence to be just as secure as we are today (you know, more so than we have been in decades).

In regard to your insulting remark, that I “… have no desire to be an honest broker …” in the matter, let me point out in this very thread I have put blame on Congress, in a collective manner. Yes! I have also put the spotlight on the Democrat Party Leadership in this thread. And why shouldn’t I since it is the Democrat Party Leadership which is now refusing to provide revenue to construct physical barriers on our southern border where the terrain requires it?
There is no question in my mind that such barriers are absolutely necessary to help stop illegal border crossings, and an ongoing invasion of our border since the 1980s ___ an invasion which is destructive to the general welfare of the United States and her citizens.

Tell us again who it is that refuses to even bring to a vote legislation that passed in the other chamber of Congress on some ■■■■■■■■ premise that if the President wont sign it, he wont bring it to the floor of his chamber for said vote.

And the fact is, amnesty was given to 2.5 million illegal entrants in return for a promise that our border would be secured. And here we are today with at least 10-15 million new illegal entrants and our border is yet to be secured, while American citizens are suffering the devastating social and economic consequences of illegal border crossings.
Do you have any idea how many American citizens have been killed by illegal entrants; how many parents of children who are American citizens have been permanently separated from a child killed by an illegal entrant; how many public schools have been overwhelmed and destroy by the children of illegal entrants; how many local communities are victimized by illegal entrants; or, how many local emergency rooms have been bankrupted and forced to close because of the volume of illegal entrants?
It’s time for the Democrat Party Leadership to act like adults and make good on their 1986 promise to provide the necessary funding to secure our border. At this point in time, it appears to me that President Trump is the only one staying in Washington during this troubling partial government shutdown, and looking to negotiate a border wall security deal to make good on the Democrats 1986 promise to secure our border.

Nancy Botox Pelosi and Lying Chuck Schumer [the Democrat Party Leadership] have both declared they will not provide funding to sufficiently secure our border. They rather be partying in Puerto Rico or taking a trip to the Mideast while government employees are suffering than to negotiating in good faith with the President during this unnecessary shutdown.
President Trump must not surrender the leverage he now has which will eventually force Nancy to the table and make an acceptable deal which promotes the general welfare of the United States and HER citizens.

Once again, I will remind you the for the last 2 years, and for years under GWB, the Republicans and conservatives had control and could have done anything they wanted to the end you speak of. They didn’t…and here you are basically running cover for them by making it the fault of Democrats.
Sure, you could complain for the first two years of Obamas term when they held total control, but beyond that, its laughable to put this at the feet of people who weren’t running things.
Here is a pretty simple thing to understand. The vast majority of people don’t want to fund this wall. We were told that the Mexicans would be paying for it…the President campaigned on that very fact, repeatedly. For two years, he and his party had total control of the government, and they burned up that political capital to get a drunken fratboy on the Supreme Court and give tax breaks to those that needed them the least. They did NOTHING to remedy the problem you see on the border. NOTHING. There is nobody to blame but them for that.
At this point, the President is mostly to blame for where we are, and he is being aided by Cocaine Mitch (since you like silly names so much and all). There was a clean bill that has been passed by the house, and guess who won’t allow that bill to come to a vote in the Senate?
No, its not the Democrats in the wrong here. If he wants the funding for his wall, get it passed in a clean bill…stop trying to piggyback it onto a bill to that is needed to get people paid like a coward. Let it stand or fail on its own merits…something the President has no experience with whatsoever.

Instead of sitting down with President Trump who has extended an invitation to negotiate a deal, she leaves town to vacation in sunny Hawaii while thousands of government workers go without pay.

He’s not asking. He’s demanding. And until he gets his demand he’s going to make as many people suffer as he possibly can. Well, as many Democrats suffer as he possibly can.
He’s not looking to make a deal. Many deals have been offered even offered by his fellow Republicans. He’s rejected every single one.
