That “keychain” is made to puncture flesh. Granted it’s a “defensive weapon” but a weapon nonetheless. If the assailant was successful in slicing the artery in Congressman Zeldin’s neck there’s a good chance he bleeds out unless a medically trained individual could administer the correct emergency treatment until Zeldin could be rushed to a trauma center.

And you’re not in any position to say he should have been remanded. Your emotional investment in the case because it involves a Republican isn’t a legal justification for remand.
