Kasich will speak at DNC

Kasich left the ‘Burgh in 1970 to go be a Buckeye and never returned except to make campaign promises. Like Biden he harkens back to his “Pennsylvania roots” for the formation of “working class” morality and blah blah blah. I’m the same age as Kasich, born and raised in the South Hills but I stayed in Pittsburgh for my degree. I left in the early ‘80’s because steel went tits up. I go back, I have family there. I’m proud of my Steel Town upbringing. Guys like Kasich mention Pittsburgh when they need something from the locals.

Watch those same people deny they ever supported Trump.

It will be attempted for sure. But we will never let them forget. That albatross will be around their necks for all of time.

That is hilarious

Yep - all of them realized the GOP has been headed down the wrong path the past few years.

“Before the pandemic Trump had the economy booming! Countries feared and respected us! I didn’t like him personally but he saved us from libz! This country is rigged! So mean, so unfair! He started wearing a mask, why don’t you like him now?”

(disclaimer - Not poeing, just predicting the responses)

Anyone who wants to know what a RINO (and a never Trumper) looks like just look at Kasich! The DNC can have this fool.

Kasich is old school GOP, which seems very sane compared to its current iteration. Glad to see him onboard.

You mean like a route back home?

That must be RT 95 North.

This one is going to be close…No route 95.

:ear:t3:

Do you think he’ll talk about Obama’s spygate or Ukrainegate or any of the current investigations?

As tenuous as his connection is to Pittsburgh, I am certain that is exactly why he got the call to speak.

Who could say no?

They have a very bad orange man to defeat at the polls.

You might be interested in this…dating back to Johnny Gammage from 1995.

Do you not know the definition of “rout?”

And the definition of “route?”

I remember that. A few years later, when I was a medic, I heard the whole story: Vojtas lost his mind to such a degree that two other cops had to drag him off Gammage’s corpse after he strangled him to death.

He was of course let off with nary a slap on the wrist and just retired from the Brentwood Police with a full pension a few years ago.

The infighting and desperation is beginning to set in.

Cheney is the #3 Republican in the House caucus. The debate is breaking out over blind loyalty to Trump. But this is totally not a cult. No way.

I think the more Trump looks like the outsider from both party factions…the better for his campaign.

Just MO.

:man_shrugging:t3:

Right. I mean, why does he need more than the die-hard base to win re-election? There are surely 50% +1 within the base, right?

Sounds like you believe Trump is a RINO.
I agree.

He is the outsider that got China to the trade table.

He is paying a price for it now.

Will he be able to fight through the noise?

Will be interesting to see.

:man_shrugging:t3:

Of course not since he is “old school” don’t you know, which translates to RINO/Democrat “status quo” corruption.

China rolled him. They got Trump to raise taxes on American importers, businesses, farmers, and consumers. All the while not changing a single thing in how they conduct business with us or the rest of the world.
