Kamala Harris wants to give out free money

Did you miss it the first time?

Wait, so now tax credits are handouts and giving out money? You guys are a joke. Not even trying to have any semblance of principles or ideals.

Binary thinking of “if Dems say it its bad, if Trump says it it’s good”. Sad!

Just another redistribution of wealth method. It’s already in use now, just not at those levels.

A rose by any other name… To much logic for lefty, I guess…

OUR money was given to corporations and billionaires and now turtle-face McConnell wants to TAKE AWAY MORE OF OUR MONEY in cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid?

What universe are the Republicans living in?

I say VOTE OUT all those who want to cut OUR benefits.

Not sure if it’s a nit or not, but a person earning 50K and just getting the standard personal deductions, and no other deductions or credits will pay under $4400 in federal income tax. That’s the most anyone making 50K will pay in federal income tax.

Even if the tax bill were 5000, the $6000 Harris wants to return to them will result in an overall tax credit.

The guy making only $10K per year with no other special deductions or credits will start off with a $400 REFUND (assuming he didn’t already pay any paycheck withholding.) Harris’ proposal would add $3000 on top of that.

When did we give tax money to corporations? I must have missed it. Are you talking about green energy?

“Wouldn’t that have been cheaper and allow the people to shop for the best insurance that represents them?”

Having been a malcontent with the changes to my group plan since Obama “care”, I went shopped on the exchange.

After entering all my information & getting my best matches, one has left the commonwealth. One I don’t care for (BCBS), & the other, CIGNA, doesn’t sell policies here. There were some plans the website itself rated low quality. And that’s the known insurers.

I am reluctant to accept an unknown, fearing I’ll have gotten off the group plan to have an individual plan few, if any providers, accept—much like my former bf’s experience with a Dental Maintenance Organization (DMO). He HAD dental coverage, but no one wanted it.

Has anyone actually been helped by this stinker of a law to get some coverage that fits their needs? My guess would be no.

As long as it is Trump playing Santa Claus and handing out our money, his supporters will be just fine with it…

The federal government does it through subsidies, tax breaks, and the occasional bailout, of course.

Wait, is this one of those hair-splitting things that you do?

It must be. Never mind. That’s boring to me.

Allowing people to keep more of what they earn isn’t the government giving them money, sorry.

And that’s the hair-splitting that everybody expected.

You enjoy your day.

It’s actually called Socialism, but you have the right idea.

I agree. If they want to use any more publicly funded infrastructure then they need to pay their fair share.

Yes we know, liberals have a very difficult time grasping the nuance of “mine” and “not mine”.

I think this thread is going to end up being one of my favorites. I hope it goes on for a long time.

There’s a difference between a perfectly healthy guy on welfare and new bridges.

No, I’ve explained your routine of your posts to you before. If you ever want to address that routine directly instead of deflecting to tangents like this, I’ll be glad to do so.

But when I tried the last time, you stopped replying, so my guess is the answer is a firm no.

so Poor people don’t deserve tax cuts?

Yes giving low income families tax cut is socialism.

I didn’t realize the topic of this or any other thread was the “routine” of my posts, whatever that is supposed to mean. And if I am not always here to post, that may have something to do with having a life.
