Just remember the Confederates were Democrats

Probably because taking them down would be “erasing history”. Or something.

Golly! So much good, anti-racist stuff in this post it boggles the mind why Democrat candidates haven’t used some of her quotes as slogans to run on! I especially like: “some AA kids were better off never being born and there was a reason behind it.” Why, I’ll bet if Joe Biden had rallies doing nothing but explaining what those reasons are, He’d get even more of the black vote than Obama! Could the reason behind it be that she just didn’t like black people???

Here’s some more non-racist tidbits about good ole Maggie :

Sanger was a supporter of now-discredited eugenics movement, which aimed to improve humans by either encouraging or discouraging reproduction based on genetic traits.

At one point, in 1934, she even [crafted a proposed law] that included this provision: “Feeble-minded persons, habitual congenital criminals, those afflicted with inheritable disease, and others found biologically unfit by authorities qualified judge should be sterilized or, in cases of doubt, should be so isolated as to prevent the perpetuation of their afflictions by breeding.” Sanger said she wanted “to give certain dysgenic groups in our population their choice of segregation or sterilization,”

Here’s another oldie but goodie:
"How are we to breed a race of human thoroughbreds unless we follow the same plan? We must make this country into a garden of children instead of a disorderly back lot overrun with human weeds.” (1924)

Over 60 million babies murdered in the womb, millions of them African Americans that could be alive today adding to the African American population…

THAT’S HER LEGACY! PLANNED PARENTHOOD, THE MONUMENT TO MORE AFRICAN AMERICAN DEATHS IN 47 YEARS THAN 200 YEARS OF SLAVERY!

You Libs really are hypocrites.

She had nothing to do with abortion.

Period.

The eugenics stuff was stupid, but that was a prevailing topic back then. Unfortunate stuff. Still nothing to do with abortion.

Isn’t there one in Seattle?

There’s a statue of Lenin in Seattle. Not sure about Stalin.

Can’t help but wonder, if the north had lost, would you now be calling them treasonous losers?

You mean like slavery and oppression was prevalent back then?? She had everything to do with abortion! What do you think she meant by it is better that some African Americans hadn’t been born?? You guys just don’t want your heroes demonized by the truth…

The eugenics stuff was stupid??? Do ya think?

Abortion
Margaret Sanger opposed abortion and sharply distinguished it from birth control, the latter being a fundamental right of women, the former being a shameful crime. In 1916, when she opened her first birth control clinic, she was employing harsh rhetoric against abortion. Flyers she distributed to women exhorted them in all capitals: "Do not kill, do not take life, but prevent. Sanger’s patients at that time were told "that abortion was the wrong way—no matter how early it was performed it was taking life; that contraception was the better way, the safer way—it took a little time, a little trouble, but it was well worth while in the long run, because life had not yet begun. Sanger consistently distanced herself from any calls for legal access to abortion, arguing that legal access to contraceptives would remove the need for abortion. Ann Hibner Koblitz has argued that Sanger’s anti-abortion stance contributed to the further stigmatization of abortion and impeded the growth of the broader reproductive rights movement.

While Margaret Sanger condemned abortion as a method of family limitation, she was not opposed to abortion intended to save a woman’s life. Furthermore, in 1932, Margaret Sanger directed the Clinical Research Bureau to start referring patients to hospitals for therapeutic abortions when indicated by an examining physician. She also advocated for birth control so that the pregnancies that led to therapeutic abortions could be prevented in the first place.

Fake news.

How is it fake news? Cuz you don’t agree therefore it’s not real!

History is a wonderful thing. Perhaps some study would be helpful.

A brief perusal of some of those show a stark contrast in purpose, or location, , etc. to confederate monuments, as well as the reverence paid toward confederate memorialization vs confederate memorialization.

Are there major regions of Germany where people insist that flying the Nazi flag from their truck beds, wearing it as a belt buckle, or insisting it be flown from government buildings, or that statues to the generals of that war represent their “heritage?”

Why not? Libs now endorse Sherman’s March to the Sea. Isn’t a good rebel is a destroyed and erased rebel?

I think the ■■■■■■■ president who ordered nukes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki should have been charged with genocide. We should remove his statues, painting, and name from all history books. Look at all the innocent women and children who died.

I think ■■■■■■■■ who kill babies should be charged with infanticide.

I think terrorists who kill police officers should be charged with terrorist acts. And I think dirty police officers should be charged too.

She promoted birth control. Are you against birth control?

Let’s ban and erase the word REBEL because it promotes racist idealogy. Ban the movie Rebel without a Cause. The word REBEL makes safezone residents uncomfortable

I oppose infanticide. I think she wanted to population control black babies. That is easy to understand, and, is wrong.

Didn’t she want to population control others as well? Where are you getting that she wanted birth control only for blacks?

The story I heard was black babies. Let me check on that. I hope I got that right. It appears she was part of the Negro Project and opened up abortion to low income blacks and whites. Herman Cain brought some of this to light.

Maybe Margaret thought she was doing good.

I do not like infanticide, myself
