First of all, the majority of those statues were made and erected after 1907. The most recent in 1979.
The message that was intended was “we won” and “we control you black people”, and every time you pass by this statue you will remember it. Look it up. Almost all of these monuments were done in modern time. And the message was clear. And I am getting sick of the language that is being said about how the Southern Confederate Army was Democrat. Fast forward to our time and where is the last bastion of saving these statues? It is the Southern Republicans that are fighting. Film at eleven.

Margaret Sanger was a racist who started a murder industry that targets and kills more African American babies than anything else.
But no, since her monument isn’t a statue, go ahead and pretend it isn’t true.

And just remember current Trump Republicans (not real republicans) are the ones who are okay with defending and supporting this symbol of hate and divisiveness.

Just glad to see the Libs compassionate concern for systemic racism in America on full display. After all, it’s not like those hundreds of thousands of African American babies are being murdered a year in public or anything. Margaret Sangers vision lives on, but at least there is no STATUE of her…

Confederate generals? We are already working on that and for some reason the party of Lincoln doesn’t want them removed.

The majority of those monuments were erected decades after the civil war as a means to mark territory, intimidate, and show who’s boss. Once again the confederacy are nothing more than treasonous losers which the Trump Republicans have no problem supporting and defending.
She was opposed to African Americans too. What a coincidence then that her creation kills so many of them…
She was not opposed to African Americans, another falsehood.
Her goal was for African American families to practice family planning. She said some AA kids were better off never being born and there was a reason behind it.
Her work showed that once an AA family had their third child, that child suffered greatly from poverty. They were more likely to die of disease, of sexual exploitation and homelessness. By the time they had their sixth or seventh child it hovered near 70 plus percent that the child died young and abused.
Her work was in the early 20th century, when a lot of Black Families lived in poverty. She wanted families to practice birth control and to limit the size of their families based on their ability to care for their children. That does NOT make her opposed to AA families. She was ahead of her time and a bit feisty but the propaganda about her is ridiculous.
She agreed with many on the Right about single parent families as well, does that make her bad or good?
Or does that just make her a convenient bogeyman for the Right Wing mediasphere?
