It's Official: US auto dealers from every automaker oppose Biden's Eco agenda. (The same one automakers are abandoning as fast as they can.)

No it does not. It says I am
1.Spending about the same amount on electricity as the most energy efficient homes in my category
2.Spending less on gas than the most energy efficient homes in my category

And why would PSEG lie? They come and read my meter every month, and send me a statement.

That still does not show how much electricity you were using prior to getting your hybrid vs. how much you use now. The claim you made was you have not noticed an increase in your bill.

Why would they lie? To keep you as a happy customer.

Or so I pay them less every month- that’s probably it.

And I don’t have my electric bills from 4 years ago, sorry. But I am pretty happy with my current sitch. Get it? Current

See, they have successfully made you happy. So happy, you don’t even care to see if they are lying or not or how much power you are using to charge your car. :+1:

Which is not very much. :sunglasses:

 Happy camper and he doesn’t even know why. Good job PSEG! :+1:

I am ripping them off big time.

That’s an interesting perspective …

The biggest problem with electric cars is the charging infrastructure. That along with a few other things.

The demand has to be there before they build a charging station.

lets see what the facts say a year later

“Sales of electric vehicles (EVs) in the U.S., according to the latest counts from Cox Automotive’s Kelley Blue Book, jumped 15.2% year over year in the fourth quarter of 2024 to 365,8241, setting a new volume record for any quarter. In 2024, full-year EV sales reached 1.3 million, an increase of 7.3% from the upwardly revised total in 2023. Sales of EVs in the U.S. benefitted from strong incentives from the automakers, excellent lease deals, and federal and state incentive programs.“

lead by huge increases with Honda and GM EVs.

some fad.

Allan

Yup.

They sold millions upon millions of Pet Rocks also.

Which is a pretty apt comparison as all those Tesla’s will pretty much be Pet Rocks when their battery is shot.

thats a bad analogy.

pet rocks didnt transport people.

:rofl::joy::rofl::joy::rofl::joy:

Just noticed. You had to go back to Nov 23 to find something YOU think I was incorrect about.

My friend you have too much time on your hands.

LOL!

Both Fads.

You claimed wasn’t a fad because of numbers sold, but Pet Rock sold in higher numbers and it was a fad.

And after all EV’s are Pet Rocks in training.

November? the link i provided is from Jan 13, 2025.

providing the facts about EVs sales in the 4th quarter of 2024 in the United states

up a mere 15%

better for you just to admit the loss and move on.

Allan

the pet rock fad lasted a whole 6 months. EVS sales climb EVERY year.

Allan

EVs so far:

  • Manufacturers refuse to manufacture them (unless the government seizes out money and sends them a check.)
  • Buyers refuse to buy them (unless the government seizes out money and sends them a check)
  • Charging stations won’t open and charge them (unless the government seizes our money and sends them a check too.)

They are exactly precisely as popular and faddish as poking oneself in the eye with a stick.
(Write a big enough check and people will do that, otherwise, they won’t.)

The post of mine you quoted was dated Nov of 2023.

Loss of what? Has my opinion changed?

LOL.

Lose or win on an anonymous internet message board.:joy::rofl::joy:

No my fr

Same Same.

Fad is a fad.

And Pet Rocks were not subsidized by a misguided government.

According to MS CoPilot (which is sometimes accurate):

  1. Average subsidy to the manufacturer per EV made in the USA: The average subsidy to manufacturers is quite substantial, with estimates suggesting that it amounts to around $32,000 per additional EV sold. This figure includes various incentives and support programs aimed at boosting EV production.

  2. Average subsidy to the buyer per EV bought in the USA: For buyers, the federal tax credit is up to $7,500 per qualifying EV. Additionally, state and local incentives can add up to around $1,500 per EV purchase. So, the total average subsidy to the buyer can be around $9,000.

  3. Average subsidy to the manufacturer per EV made in the USA: Stanford Report on Electric Vehicle Subsidies

  4. Average subsidy to the buyer per EV bought in the USA: Heritage Foundation on EV Subsidies
    .
    .
    .
    .
For $7,500 how many Americans would

  • poke themselves in the eye with a stick?
  • buy a pet rock?

I argue that in both cases the answer “more than have bought an EV.”
Ergo, EVs are currently less popular than either one.
