It's Official: US auto dealers from every automaker oppose Biden's Eco agenda. (The same one automakers are abandoning as fast as they can.)

The title says “automakers”, but the article references “dealers”.

Delete this now, why doncha? It hurts your credibility.

Dealers- not makers. And everyone knows that dealers are the epitome of honesty.

They only want the best for us all.

Today, the supply of unsold BEVs is surging, as they are not selling nearly as fast as they are arriving at our dealerships — even with deep price cuts, manufacturer incentives, and generous government incentives.”

I bet not a single one is listed at MSRP.

If the EV agenda becomes a backdoor way to get direct auto sales that’s fine too.

No vehicle is listed at MSRP these days.

Just for giggles I was considering trading my 18 Civic Si on a new Acura Integra with a 6-speed.

They’re supposed to be 35,000 with the six speed manual (it’s a car where you have to pay extra for the stick shift) but three Acura dealers I contacted had them listed for over 42,000 each. Which is just insane for a four cylinder turbo Civic with fancy seats. That’s the mythical price of the Type S version with the 2.0L turbo. So they’re selling the 1.5L turbo cars for the supposed MSRP of the big motor version.

The auto makers aren’t in love with those things either. “ The American Automobile Association ran a test on the Ford F-150 Lightning — the electric version of Ford’s popular pickup — to see how much carrying loads would impact range.
The results were announced this week. When loaded with 1,400 pounds of sandbags, which is 110 pounds short of its maximum rated capacity, the range of the truck dropped from 278 miles to 210 miles.
The AAA test highlights a flaw in the Biden administration’s goal of forcing as many people as possible into electric vehicles (EV) by 2032. Consumers won’t often find their limitations appealing.” Automakers Warn EPA Electric Vehicle Mandates Are ‘Neither Reasonable Nor Achievable’ | Your Wyoming News Source

I don’t know if you understand how this works but if the auto dealers can’t sell the stupid cars there’s not much reason for the auto makers to invest the money in building them.

It’s especially telling that people aren’t buying those overpriced overweight vehicles given that the taxpayers are subsidizing their purchase.

Sorry ye faithful cultists, but we’re gonna go ahead and burn MORE fossil fuels than ever before (look it up, suckers ), and if it warms the planet, you can go take a cold shower to cool that butt hurt.

I suppose the difference is important to someone.

3,000 McDonalds oppose something vs McDonald opposes something I don’t see the difference. Still ya got me.

(You love whatever big corporations love or what’s the deal?)

No it doesn’t. It says dealers (representing all makes of autos) are opposing the same Biden policy that automakers are abandoning.

You just repeated what he said with more words.

I’m lovin’ it. Global warming has gotten to the point where -25 F is now considered cold.

No, that’s not what he said. Not even remotely.

I see what happened now. The OP changed the title after his post.

I am not sure why liberals are so eager to have the endorsement of big corporations .
Frankly I had not considered there to be much of a difference between

  • 3,000 McDonald’s restaurant franchises and McDonald corp
  • 3,000 franchise for the automakers and the auto makers themselves.

Still, today’s left apparently wants corporate endorsements and it stings when someone says they aren’t getting that.
I feel like I have entered a parallel universe or something.
Since when is the left eager to defend a plan based on “big corporations love this plan” I honestly never thought the left would try to make that point.

Picture this: "After receiving a subsidy form the Biden administration
Cargill, the weapons industry, big pharma and the Koch brothers like a plan," . . . .and today’s libs think that’s a good thing? Did I miss something?

Okay … Sure. :smirk:

Yes.
two people requested it.

I don’t see the difference between
“Thousands of McDonald franchises oppose . . .” and “McDonalds the big corporation opposes. . . .”
but some people do and they are very eager to portray the big corporations as favoring the Biden plan (the one they are abandoning as fast as they can.)

I don’t know why today’s left is so eager to seek corporate endorsements for Biden’s plans.
(You know Biden had to bribe the with our money to get their endorsement in the first place right?)

How to fix global warming:

1.) Examine the list of proposals below.

  • EVs
  • biodiesel, bio-alcohol, natural gas and EVs and everyting else
  • a broad carbon tax, so the free market can decide
  • nothing, because it’s all a waste of money & you won’t accomplish diddly-squat as long as China is building two new coal plants every week

2) Have your donors pick one. Shove it down everyone’s throat.
3) Bribe big corporations to endorse your plan
4) IMPORTANT: Do not use our own money for the bribes, use tax-payer money.
5) When the plan turns out to be so bad even the corporations are no-longer on board, then run-and-hide, split-hairs and parse words to make it appear as if big corporations are still on board.

:point_up_2: There, see? Do those things and everything will be fixed. Problem solved. Enjoy your new planet. :point_up_2:
