It's Official: US auto dealers from every automaker oppose Biden's Eco agenda. (The same one automakers are abandoning as fast as they can.)

You will go far I guess.

And never will.

So the charge is good for more than 350 miles?

So using a/c radio. Windshield wipers, heater does not decrease mileage?

So they go just as far on a single charge in cold weather as in warm?

So it only takes 5 minutes to go from empty to full?

I could go on but why?

That’s fine. They aren’t for everyone. Just like a F250 isn’t for everyone.

I can drive 350 miles on $8 dollars. And virtually zero maintenance. It’s amazing

Yes. Sometimes more sometimes less.

A/c and heating, yes. But it’s minimal. I’ve see 5% impact over 350 miles. Nothing else eats noticeable power. There is a 12v battery to handle some of the other functions.

No. About 10-15% less in cold weather.

No. I can go from 5% to 80% in about 15mins. But 90% of my charging is at home, overnight. When I drive to Vegas… I stop once there and once back. And I get free charging at the hotel. I wouldn’t get free gas if I drove my ice vehicle

So upon reading your answers. Where was I wrong?

Mostly you just didn’t tell the whole story

-virtually no maintenance
-charge at home overnight
-electricity cheaper than gas
-over the air software updates that add features over time

On the road or on the market.

On the road

Right. So that doesn’t speak to a dying fad. That speaks to market domination. The Tesla is still the biggest presence on the road since it’s been around for so long but other car makers are expanding their ev line up.

As @conan pointed out ev purchases have slowed and i agree that it is because of a reduction of incentives but also car prices are ludicrous for both and ev and gas ones.

So it doesn’t speak to the fad being over just to the market figuring itself out as more evs joins the market.

I won’t own an ev until there is 100 percent coverage or close to it for charging stations.

When I was doing a ton of maintenance on my German sedan I got to looking around at all of the fossil fuel products I now had to dispose of, and literal hundreds of dollars of fluids. Got me thinking it might be kind of nice to only have to worry about brakes and tires. Transfer case, front and rear differentials, transmission, power steering, brake fluid

I gotta say though, the Teslas I’ve driven or ridden in I wouldn’t buy. The drivetrain is fine, the rest of the car is crap though. Terrible build quality, I could throw a cat through the body panel gaps, squeaks and rattles all over the place, cheap looking and feeling materials. Crazy quick though. I just couldn’t get around sensation that I was driving a shopping cart on a rough road from it being such a rattletrap.

Carbon fiber beats it all … for a price.

Aren’t abandoning anything except their EV goals.

But don’t worry it’s worldwide.

Yes they are. They are abandoning Biden’s EV policy. Didn’t you even bother to read the article? It’s not about sales, it’s about goals and mandates.

Yepp. That’s why the majority of carbon fiber framed cars start with names like Ferrari or McLaren.

If a Camaro is art then I’ve got a delightful portrait you would just love. It’s a bunch of dogs dressed like people, sitting around a table drinking, smoking cigars and playing poker.

The 1970 Split bumper Z28 is a work of art. That car was drop dead beautiful.

By 1977 they had turned into redneck mullet machines. And by 1985 they were driven by guys who exclusively listened to twisted sister and were half a case deep into coor’s light.
