Why wouldn’t we the government supposed to serve the people. Each election in western governments candidates run on issues, immigration is one of those hot issues if it wasn’t something that we should be allowed to vote on the politicians need to quit talking about how they will protect the borders and limit immigration.
Of course they can ignore peoples concerns like they have in Europe which only has fueled the far right winning election after election which we see playing out in Europe.
