Yes, and many in ruby red states. It looks like Trump’s mid term strategy is to hold rallies and say voting for the D Senator in their state means voting for Schumer and the left. He already said it about Tester at the Montana rally and Heitkamp in the one in ND.
It’s a good strategy in states like that and WV, IN and MO. All of those are winnable races, along with Rick Scott in Florida.
You know far well that the GOP won’t be voting for a nomination based on gender, nor would the democrats oppose a nomination be opposed for the same reason.
None of the other potential nominees belong to “People of Praise,” a religious group that promotes sharply defined gender roles, calls for women’s submission to men, covenant vows, and secrecy to protect themselves from outsiders. It’s perfectly legitimate to question Barrett about her involvement in it.
Nominees have always been questioned about personal beliefs (religious or otherwise) that may impact their ability to adjudicate as objectively as humanly possible.
No it isn’t. Obama picked two women for the SC. Both of them were replacing men. One of the reasons why he picked them was to have more balance on the court. It only makes sense.
It’s stupid to pick a woman simply because of her gender. But if she’s qualified, why not?
Let these taffifs set in and set what happens. Manchin is sitting pretty, so is Tester. The other two will win if Trump continues to do what he is doing. About the time when people start losing in their pocket is how they vote. If you hold the illusion that people vote on principal and will support someone who is going to keep costing them money thats on you.
Article Six of the United States Constitution establishes the laws and treaties of the United States made in accordance with it as the supreme law of the land, forbids a religious test as a requirement for holding a governmental position and holds the United States under the Constitution responsible for debts incurred by the United States under the Articles of Confederation.
You were saying there should be no religious tests. What is it now- you think there should be?
You’re dealing right out of the left’s playbook- tainted sources, sexism, first no, then yes on religious tests.
Remember that in red states Trump remains popular. He won WV by 40 points and other red states by double digits. And he will likely be holding quite a few rallies between now and November asking people in those states to give him an R Senate.
