I believe the old addage “Damned if you do, damned if you don’t” is more applicable. It’s easy enough with hindsight to look back and say we should have or shouldn’t have done this and that.

What we don’t know is just how bad this thing would have gotten had the restrictions that went into effect not have been done so. Thus its very easy now to look back because they were and say “We shouldn’t have done this because it didn’t turn out nearly as bad as was predicted”.

Trump did the right thing based upon the information he had at the time.

You are correct in given the information we have now, it’s easy look back to criticize. We don’t know what the results would have been without the precautions taken.

Besides, what’s done is done. I have no doubt our economy will recover and even become stronger.

I also hope we distance ourselves from China and learned a good lesson on outsourcing the items necessary for our national security.

I sent my employees home on April the 1st. The loan didn’t get deposited until the 15th. That’s when the 8 forgivable weeks begins. This means that 2 weeks of the 8 will come into this months statement. That leaves 75% of the loan still being available going forward and hopefully, come into play during easier times and that’s my point. If this month is indicative of what we can expect going forward, it’s too rich. If nothing changes and I know that’s a big IF but if nothing changes, the next few months will theoretically be my most profitable in this company’s 23 year history.

Same with my business.

I’m going to wait to see the impact, if any, in the coming months. We’ve been busy as hell (I am considered an essential business so office employees were set up and worked from home). Since businesses here are opening up Monday, the amount of quote requests I got on Friday made my head spin.

First…I need to wait and see what lies ahead. Have we hit the full storm? This is something that needs to be visited in about 90 days from now where the dust has settled somewhat and we can see more clearly what lies ahead. Presently we’re traveling through unchartered waters and I’m sharing something with you that I see right now…but it’s blurred. If I do something that will affect the lives of others, I want to be more positive about that decision, than I am right now. Sorry if that doesn’t meet your standards of judgement but…it’s how I roll and…in part…why I’m in this situation.

The admiration of what Sweden did needs to be tempered by the fact that it has seen a higher death rate than any o the countries around it that did not adopt the Swedish model.
