Guthrie Kidnapping

Is this just your typical “Republicans good, Democrats bad” rant? Because I read this mess twice and I still can’t figure out what your point is.

It’s pretty clear from your series of posts that you want the federal government to give special treatment to rich and famous people when their loved ones go missing. I think the government should treat everyone equally.

There is a huge difference between family abductions…elderly wandering off…and a genuine kidnap for ransom by a stranger which is insanely rare and quite newsworthy.

Family vs. Stranger Statistics
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and regional reports from 2024 highlight a stark contrast in the causes of missing person cases:
Stranger Abductions: These are the rarest type of case, making up less than 1% of missing children reports nationally. For example, in Ohio’s 2024 data, only 15 cases were stranger abductions compared to over 21,000 total missing persons.
Family Abductions: This is the second most common category for children after runaways. The U.S. Department of Justice estimates that over 200,000 children annually are victims of family abduction (typically involving non-custodial parents).
Runaways: This remains the leading cause of missing person reports. In 2024, of the NCIC entries where circumstances were specified, 95% were coded as runaways.

You learned something today. Just like watching South Park.

Why did you think I didn’t already know all that? People who were “kidnapped for ransom” are also “people missing.”

This…

Kidnapped people are missing people. What’s the confusion?

You work on that.

Update:

The FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department said on Friday that they “are aware of a new message regarding Nancy Guthrie”. The statement added that they are “inspecting the information provided in the message for its accuracy”.

It comes after the first deadline from an alleged ransom letter passed on Thursday evening.

Think logicly not emotionaly.
Put your bias aside.
Yes it is rich people but it is easy to target them and when that happens you want to stop it so that it doesn’t become a new favorite.

BTW…I don’t believe it is Cartels.
I think it is a couple of college or University geeks.
Just because they want Bitcoins and used a new nonconventional way of communicating.
To me it sounds like 2-3 geeks, maybe from local Unis, maybe sons of rich people, spoiled brats who think they can outsmart everyone.

They seem technology savy.
They stretched the time to more than a week.
Experienced mobsters don’t do that.
They act fast and now.

My point was that all the attention in this case IS NOT because they are rich. Republicans stood up for poor victims of crime and YES not one Democrat did.
Democrats/Liberals have a habit of “caring” for the RICH and the ELITE.
So I see why YOU have the same feelings about those victims
and believe Trump is helping ONLY because they are wealthy.
If you feel so not everyone else does too.
Which was YOUR pittifull point.

There you go again.
People stop being missing the minute that there is obduction confirmed or a ransom letter received.
Missing person report is filed only after so many hours or couple of days.
There is no waiting period for obduction.
FBI steps in only for children where in an obduction of an adult they do as soon as they are asked to.

All of the attention on this case is because the victim has a famous daughter. All of it. I know this because thousands of other people have gone missing since she did and neither you nor Donald Trump know any of their names.

Of course we want to stop it. Who said we don’t? I said the president of the United States shouldn’t get involved.

Well English is a second (or fifth language) for me but I still believe that Kidnapped and Missing is NOT the same.

She went missing and they don’t know where she is, they just know she was kidnapped. Not really something to argue about, in my opinion.

Forgive me but I just LOVE this you wrote above.

Name another case where a grandma in poor health was obducted from her home and ransome letters were sent to the family.
Name ONE where law enforcement didn’t intervene.

You’re confused. I’m obviously not saying law enforcement shouldn’t be involved in this case, I’m saying the president of the US shouldn’t be. How are you not getting that?

I have been loosely following this. I cant help but think this is someone the family knows. I only say this because , what little i have heard, i havent heard of any struggle other than the few drops of blood on the side walk. The perp knew of the ring camera. I suppose thats common these days. But most of all i havent heard of any mysterious fingerprints in the home. Thankfully she belongs to a caring church who noticed her missing. At least the time frame narrows down to wheb she was missing.
My heart goes out to savannah and her family. I hope they find her and in good health.
