Guthrie Kidnapping

This looks pretty bad. I am glad to see the President step up and take charge directing needed resources to help.

The president revealed that he had spoken with Savannah Guthrie and her family, adding that he directed all federal law enforcement to aid in the search.

“I spoke with Savannah Guthrie, and let her know that I am directing ALL Federal Law Enforcement to be at the family’s, and Local Law Enforcement’s, complete disposal, IMMEDIATELY,” he said. “We are deploying all resources to get her mother home safely. The prayers of our Nation are with her and her family. GOD BLESS AND PROTECT NANCY!”

Ms. Guthrie is no fan of the President. Doesn’t matter.

What strikes me is that this appears to be the MO of a cleaver narco gang that could defeat video surveillance and leave few clues.

The very same people ICE is trying to arrest and remove.

Still early in the investigation. Praying for a good outcome here.

The world is a dangerous place.

Thousands of people go missing literally every day. This woman has a famous daughter, so the president and federal law enforcement snap right to attention and ignore all the others. Pathetic.

Why do you think they are ignoring the others?

I think this will raise awareness of the danger.

I’m sure all the people who have missing relatives will take heart. Now they know that if their loved one was famous, they could get someone to “take charge directing” “All law enforcement at their disposal” to “get home safely”

Because they don’t have famous daughters.

The danger of having a famously rich daughter and being kidnapped for ransom? For the record, I had the same complaints when JFK Jr. went missing and they mobilized three branches of the armed forces to find him. They wouldn’t have done that for you or I.

Please elaborate.

What particular insights do you have into the “MOs of clever narco gangs” and why would you think they would target Guthrie’s mother?

There is another category where they will get more attention than normal.

If their missing loved one is a pretty young blonde girl.

Those get lots of media attention and police resources as well.

Give us your opinion.

Instead of making demands…Oh look what I DID THERE. Making demands is what kidnappers do.

Wow! A bunch of heartless people in this world. I hope Guthrie’s mom is found.

TDS is definitely a mental disease.

It does not strike me as the work of amateurs.

The family has $$$.

They may have not wanted the attention so much.

You made a claim.

I didn’t.

See how that works?

Who here is heartless?

You can have a matter of fact discussion while still feeling sympathy for Savannah and her mom.

I hope she’s found safe and sound and returns home soon. I just don’t think the president of the United States should get personally involved. Why her and not the thousands of other people who disappeared this week? (That’s a rhetorical question, everyone knows the answer.)

When you invoke TDS for literally every disagreement with the Trump administration it really starts to lose its oomph.

I shared my opinion.

You seemed to be having a different conversation.

There is absolutely no reason for the president of the United States to do anything, but he does love celebrity culture :pig:

There might be if the kidnappers wanted Maduro in exchange.

We don’t know all the details.

You’re making claims.

Like you just made another one with your last post.

But thank you for confirming yet again you’re another poster I can mark down as incapable of having a serious discussion.

I just saw this story.

Her pacemaker could synch with her phone and watch.

Too bad they didn’t have a different kind of signal so the pacemaker could be tracked no matter where it is, or at least over longer distances.

Just guessing, but I think the son-in-law (and maybe Savannah’s sister Annie) is/are complicit.

And I don’t expect her to turn up alive.

And I hope I’m wrong on every suspicion I have about this.
