Guthrie Kidnapping

I think this is a good theory.

Local drug runners perhaps?

Some of the posts on this thread are inhumane and pathetic. You know who I’m referring to. Please no snarky comment, I’ll just tell you to go ■■■■ yourself the way I would to any other dumbass.

This isn’t TDS, but not real sure what it actually is. This isn’t the first time they have played the race card when it comes to media attention to a missing child. Every time a missing person has gained the attention of some politico and made it to the media regardless of literally any other logic, one of the first things libs trot out is the “cute, blonde hair, blue eyes gets the attention” ■■■■■■■■■

On our local news they are the last ones you hear about but hey, don’t let reality smack you upside the head

I actually agree with you
I also have no idea who the ■■■■ she is. Or why it’s taken up all the air time with so much going on.

There’s a special place in hell for those who hurt kids and the elderly.

I hope they find this person and kill them.

Just an example of what some others have alluded to in the thread:

I get that. In this case however, there is a ransom note and demand for payment. At least something tangible to go an and try to figure out the scenario and it apparently meets certain criteria (minor or adult at high risk). Yes, it helps that her daughter is well known.

Many times missing kids/people are not victims of someone looking for a payday or making a statement. They are abducted by people wanting them for more nefarious reasons/purposes. Children, according to the criteria, always trigger some kind of FBI involvement, even if it’s only providing information/knowledge to local authorities.

Apparently none of that was real. Ransom note etc Not the kidnapping obviously

The likes for this post are the most interesting turn i have seen on this board.

One note was real. There was a different fake one they arrested someone for sending.

In the latest update from authorities amid the search for Nancy Guthrie, the Federal Bureau of Investigations confirmed they have arrested someone who was impersonating the 84-year-old’s captor in a fake demand.

“We believe there is no evidence to connect this to Nancy’s case,” Heith Janke, the special agent in charge of the bureau’s Phoenix division said at a Feb. 5 press conference after confirming the arrest. “It was someone that was trying to profit from it. A total imposter.”

While no details about the person taken into custody were shared, Janke added, “a complaint will be presented to a magistrate judge later today.”

Meanwhile, Janke shared that investigators are taking another ransom note—one that was sent to national and local media outlets—“extremely seriously.”

> As he noted, “The one that went to the media is the one we’re currently investigating and working on.”

A flurry of patently fake ransom notes claiming to have information about Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother are bogging down the desperate, days-long search for the “Today” show host’s kin.

At least three ransom messages have been reported to Arizona and federal authorities in the five days since Nancy Guthrie, 84, was disappeared from her million-dollar Tucson home around noon on Sunday.

Only one of them is being taken seriously so far, law enforcement sources said.

Wrong.
People missing and people kidnapped for ransom is NOT the same.
This is a case of a targeted kidnaping to extort money.

Biden lost 300 000 kids and never looked for them.
WHY don’t you pound on them for that !

These cases where the famous people are targeted for extortion HAVE to be publicized and SOLVED so that they don’t become a routine occurance.
It’s called Nipping it in the bud.

Before you turn this unfortunate situation into a bunch of nonsense, USE your brain and think.

Famous people ARE the targets because they have ability to pay the ransome.
It takes 2 brain cells to rub together to KNOW that.
Do your self a favor.

I thought that there was only one goat here

I was wrong

You’re wrong.
Pittifuly wrong.
There was a big deal in the Congress when a poor boy who wanted to be a cop was HONORED.
POOR and not known by anyone before.
When hundreds in Congress stand up for you THAT’S a big deal.

There was a standing up and honnoring the victims of crime on that day and WHO stood up??? Republicans.
NOT ONE Democrat did.
All were poor and not famous.

I think it is very good that they did.
This has to be publicised and solved so that it does not become a new normal.
It is very easy to grab famous people for ransom.
Can you immagine if you had one kidnapped every day.

I am sure when you give it a second thought you will see it this way.

Mexico border is only 60 miles away from crime scene.

Not good.

Yes, it’s the same.

I do, frequently.

No, they don’t. If anything, it just gives criminals ideas.

Yes, everyone knows that. What’s your point?
