Keep context in mind. If we are the slanderers of others (devils); if we are adversaries towards each other (ha-satan) then isn’t it us who are messing with God?
If we are speaking of fallen angels, then we are speaking of a band of angels who rebelled and turned against God.
Are you speaking of Isaiah 14:12? There, the Morning Star (translated as Lucifer in King James) is taken by some Christians as reference to the chief of the fallen angels. Isaiah was actually referencing a real person–the King of Babylon.
It is my impression you decided and confirmed your suspicions long before this thread. Have you ever studied the accounts of people who have been possessed? They call to mind a line from Shakespeare: There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
Youve still done nothing to explain why everything good in this world is “by the grace of God” but none of the bad things that happen are “because Gods a ■■■■■”.
It cant be both ways…he cant be both all powerful and all knowing and not be responsible for the horrible ■■■■ he alllows to happen if he has the power to stop it.
It would be like a parent to a 3 year old just letting them grab a hot stove burner. Sure, people cop out and say they will only learn by doing it, but the truth of the matter is by just standing there and watching it happen, as the one with the ability to stop it, they are responsible for whatever happens next.
Logically speaking, the same would hold true for God, if not moreso, since again, hes omnipotent and all.
I have never made that claim. Someone who believes it to be true will need to respond. As for me, the Bible addresses two things: First God saw what He made was good, but mankind learned how to use what is good for evil. Second, the Bible notes that God is responsible for everything this world contains. In other words, if a volcano, earthquake, or storm reek distraction, then feel free to blame God. Keep in mind, it is often mankind who choose to live near volcanoes, on faults, and along coasts or tornado alleys.
I’m not sure there is anywhere on earth safe from natural disasters. I suppose it will be our fault for living on earth the next time an asteroid hits, or the yellowstone volcano erupts.
