And that’s why California needs to fix it’s rules for recalls. In a head to head election, Newsom won with 61% of the vote. But with a fraction of the votes cast in that election, Elder came uncomfortably close to overturning the will of California. It’s undemocratic, AND it cost $276 million.

Democrst activists are iintercepting delivery in low return areas, sending them in filled in for Newsome, and no one is going question those votes. Not the recipienrs, because they don’t even care to learn about the process to realise they should have a ballot; or for the few that do care, it was a glitch and they will be given a provisional at the polis when they find they are recorded as having already voted.

I presume there is minimal signature checking of mail-ins going on at this stage.

I don’t understand American elections, I search for both Elder and Newsom platform and all I get is talking points.

in Canada the liberal released a 92 page public report detailing everything they will do during their term, so did the Conservative, NDP, etc.

Well the whole thing is stupid.

It isn’t that Newsome is running on a platform because this is a recall effort. So it isn’t about issues… it is about confidence.

And confidence was pretty low in Newsome until Elder became the front runner as his potential replacement and people saw that he says some real crazy ■■■■ and were like… hey… there is an actual Governor race next year… let’s do it then.

Also how is not illegal to campaign at a church…
both parties are doing this and its seem super duper illegal to have preacher openly support a politician.

It’s not illegal, but doing so should result in the loss of their (the church’s) tax free status.

California voters have soundly rejected the GOP and it’s candidate.

They also reaffirmed approval of the Governor’s handling of Covid in the state.

But I wouldn’t read into this nationally…

CA has chosen. I thank Larry Elder for running and giving it a chance.
