We’re in a scary situation now where just mentioning someone’s race in the title of a post can be racist.
Sort of like the APBs we sometimes get about the cops looking for a criminal… and they don’t mention if he’s white, black, Hispanic etc so how are people supposed to know who to look for?

Lets see my husband rodeos and he gets pulled over at least once a week. And he is not a minority.
It’s almost never for speeding.
In the past month it was a tail light out on the trailer, crossing the center line, liquid leaking out the back of the trailer(guess the horse couldn’t hold it) and couldn’t read the license plate(to much mud on it) guess according to you they all stopped him because he was driving white.
I’m sure my husband would appreciate it you sent him a little of that white privilege.

Just sounds like your husband needs to make sure his vehicle/trailer is in proper condition to be on the road. It also disproves Conan’s theory about cops being afraid of rednecks

Well, i think we see the claims that the title of the thread is not racist in the poster’s opinion. I’m going to save the poll open until the end of the day. But the claim that the OP mAde ot racist by using the words black and teens. So i think we can put that falsehood to bed early without supper.
Let’s try to see facts for what they are and stop trying to make everything about race from now on? Because the Op was not racist…nor was it making it about any group being racist.

I read a quote once that said: “Racism is so much a part of America that if you call out racism you’re considered un-American”. I don’t necessarily agree with the quote, but then I come to this thread and see that some posters are actually mad that people view this incident as racist; which it clearly is.

Ya know what is funny. The OPs use of actual headlines from a news article that uses the words Black and Teens…so triggered everyone here…that all kinds of falsehoods came from this thread. Someone said that the woman was a white conservative. We don’t know that. The article does not patently state this. We also heard that the OP was racist for using those words. I know the phrase “the OP” can be taken to mean the actual post, or it can be used to mean the person writing the OP or original poster. In which case, I think it really makes sense to not have everyone get so triggered that the use of the phrase “Four black teens…” would be seen as being racist. When anyone with any sense looking at this knew it was a restatement of an already headlined news story.
Are we that bent on making everything racist? Really? I think common sense needs to prevail in these threads, and if you (collective) have a concern on the intent of a post…ask the Original Poster for clarification and Original Poster, be willing to clarify. I think then we can have logical and reasonable conversations that then don’t diverge into but racists…and bigots…and things like that.
