Even with a Democrat Governor and all the restrictions and guidelines in place NJ is....well just look at the chart for yourself

Absolutely, I can remember early on when Cumo started having his daily briefings, he actually said if the restrictions save one person that they were worth it and I remember thinking what a stupid statement that was.

You might be right. But maybe the voters will give benefit of doubt to the governors that he/she is doing what they think is best. Some gov have chosen to do something(lockdown, mask mandate, restriction) based on medical information. Some gov have chosen to do nothing(leave it to citizens to decide). I don’t believe democratic governors chose to lockdown to solely hurt Trump. No one knows 100% what is the best route.

This is the biggest freaking stupid metric available for rural areas.

Example. Piute County Utah had a TOTAL of 9 cases (active cases in 14 day span). But when converted to the per 100k metric, they showed as having 622 cases. The entire population of the county is only 1,500 people. based on the 100k metric, the state wanted to hit the county with extreme measures. Salt Lake County (most populous in the state) had a total of 13,700 in the same 14 day span, and the per 100k metric is 1,200. One of the most stupid metrics that can be used in my opinion

I think it is beginning to dawn on people that “we are not all in the same boat.”

There are a lot of people, not just pols, who haven’t missed a paycheck. It is very easy to claim the moral high ground when you don’t have to worry about income.

It is creating ressentiment (resentment plus). It may even be creating new classes.

Salaried Work From Home vs. Hourly Have To Be There

Cubicles vs. Shops

I see a lot of people adapting - cash work, bartering, off the books, things like that.

This mitigations are changing societies and if it goes on much longer, the changes may stick.

Herpes isn’t fatal is it?

I think you’re spot on with this. But I might take it a bit further. In the beginning, I think people who’s lively hood was not effected (ie working full time from home) didn’t mind the restrictions, but I think even a lot of these people are getting fed up with. That’s why I think a Republican will be PA’s next Governor.

Ever heard of cold weather?

I don’t disagree, but fed up for different reasons maybe?

I don’t have a lot of sympathy with a Cubicle who is fed up because they can’t have some leisure activity.

Of course one begets the other.

I always enjoy our conversations.

The two states are not even remotely similar.

I get it and don’t blame you, but I am sure you would welcome my vote even if it’s because I am fed up with my side?

Likewise and thank you!

Another thing that is pissing people off is the hypocrisy.

Welcome your vote? You should vote for whomever you think best represents you. I voted libertarian this year. It’s not really mine to welcome.

Jbiden might have been a good President 15 years ago.

I don’t get wrapped around the axle much about Presidents.

Yea, I just can’t bring myself to vote 3rd party, I pretty much pick the one if find least objectionable between the 2 main parties.

Unless they they also control congress. Obama’s worst 2 years was when Dems controlled congress and likewise for Trump’s were when Repubs controlled congress.

I used to try “least worst” but lately…

Nice chatting, off to workout with a freaking mask on!

You too. Get swoll.

Damn numbers is hard!

do you want me to reply or not?
In your scenario - 45 out of 50,000 is still a lot better then 15 out of 100,000

Yes, but you didn’t.

No it isn’t and I just showed you why.

45 out of 500,000 is .009%
15 out of 100,000 is .015%

Almost double.
Math IS hard.
