Most likely a tax. But, those that are paying for insurance premiums, will no longer need to do that. Hell, a 20% cut to military spending would also help fund it as well.
Also if one loses their job, they do not have to worry about going bankrupt if one gets sick or injured.
Every other 1st world nation can do it…why can’t we? I thought we were exceptional!
It will come from a subset of the 3.5 trillion we pay each year on health care expenditures. Except the total pie will be smaller, because of the efficiencies that come with a single payer system. For example, moving to such a system would eliminate over $500 billion in administrative overhead dealing with our disparate private insurance system.

Liberals have not been in control of government since JFK.
Liberals have been touting what Trump campaigned on for decades. Trump stole it from liberals.
But he completely screwed up enacting those ideas. He could have gotten the Progressive caucus on board, with a practical plan…but Republicans would have not voted for it.
So he is doing it all on his own, and is screwing it up. Much like the casino he tried to run.
Ah…China doubled its economy under Obama. Are you aware of that? From 5.1 trillion or so to about 11 trillion.
So maybe you can tell me what Obama did?
Did Carter have both houses? Yes or no?
