Is the point of the research that it is better to be prosperous and employed if you need a job? Ok. I’ll concede that would be a good goal. I think I would concede that without the study.
Is our goal now to go backwards. The 80s have come and gone.
My first job at ATT in the 80s was answering phones and taking messages. Technology knocked me out of that job. I have progressed though the ranks and now am an Operation Specialist. It’s just a matter of acquiring the skills that are needed. Lucky for me I had the opportunity to progress.
The thing that would work in my opinion is to … I know i know… make sure that any person in the US who has a full time job doesn’t have to rely on public assistance to make a living.
Not only that but he single-handedly OVERNIGHT solved the job participation crisis, cured the BLS of their book-cooking, and made the employment numbers REAL. It’s really really amazing. Really.

What does “prime age” mean? Middle age? Old age? I have no idea.
Which “preventable deaths”? Obesity? Unmanaged diabetes? Smoking related? There are hundreds to choose from.
