Deaths from despair in older white males in the United states

Is the point of the research that it is better to be prosperous and employed if you need a job? Ok. I’ll concede that would be a good goal. I think I would concede that without the study.

Not attacking anyone just want to know why politicians are allowing this to happen.

These people are being left behind to die as they see fit.

Is our goal now to go backwards. The 80s have come and gone.
My first job at ATT in the 80s was answering phones and taking messages. Technology knocked me out of that job. I have progressed though the ranks and now am an Operation Specialist. It’s just a matter of acquiring the skills that are needed. Lucky for me I had the opportunity to progress.

That’s the thing. We’re not going backwards. That world is dead, and I feel for them but I can’t help them.

Despair often leads to suicide. If you want to address suicide, one must study its causes, even if they make you feel uncomfortable.

Why do you hate capitalism?

Those are things that are never going to happen.

The thing that would work in my opinion is to … I know i know… make sure that any person in the US who has a full time job doesn’t have to rely on public assistance to make a living.

Go Trump! He did it all on his own as shown in the chart below

Not only that but he single-handedly OVERNIGHT solved the job participation crisis, cured the BLS of their book-cooking, and made the employment numbers REAL. It’s really really amazing. Really.

He had to first erase Obama’s policies that were hurting America.

The articles are cached in so much psycho babble it’s difficult to understand what they are trying to say.
What does “prime age” mean? Middle age? Old age? I have no idea.
Which “preventable deaths”? Obesity? Unmanaged diabetes? Smoking related? There are hundreds to choose from.

It’s not accurate because they didn’t dumb it down?

Did I say it’s not accurate?
Please quote where I said that and tell me why you suggested that I said that.

My mistake, I misread. I thought there was more to the post and didn’t realize you were simply saying you didn’t understand the article.

He continued Obama’s policies, which continued the trend of employment. Look at that graph again.

Nope! he was erased!

Good post. The whole white privilege claim is BS anyway. Just something else to whine about.

Personally I am 66, retired, and happy as a clam! :+1::grin:

I am not sure why the democrats lost Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia staring in 2000 those were solid Democratic states not long ago

1996 electoral map

Sure about that?
