The question is … will we as a country learn from this the next time a situation arises? I don’t mean that as a jab to the current administration.
What is it you think they can learn? They can’t will millions of tests for a brand new emerging virus into being with the wave of a hand.
I’m hoping people will learn that.
If anything hopefully NIH and CDC will establish a protocol for bringing in the private manufacturers sooner in similar future outbreaks.

CDC needs a system in place that once triggered it sets things into motion immediately. I personally thought they already had a system in place. This would in effect take politics out of it if followed properly.

It’s the entire point. Focusing on a supposedly lower mortality rate while ignoring that a sizeable minority if not outright majority get it is missing the entire point. The actual death toll.
