And? In this shooting, the next higher authority with jurisdiction would be the Dallas County Sheriff’s office… Are the Texas Rangers suddenly a county law enforcement agency?

In this state an agency cannot investigate itself or it’s officers, the case has to be referred up to the next higher level of LE or directly to the Texas Rangers.

Ironically, the DA’s office doesn’t need local LE, the Texas Rangers or NRA instructors to file charges… They can investigate and file charges all on their own…

He was indicted on state charges of murder and aggravated assault and was convicted of those state charges so again, how is it you’re claiming there was no violation of state law?

You’re making that up, it is policy in such shootings where the officer is suspected of a crime to hand over jurisdiction to a higher level agency with jurisdiction as your own citation showed.
The initial investigation started with the locals who referred it to the Texas Rangers.
The DA is not a law enforcement agency, they are officers of the court.
They take what’s provided by the investigating officers and have their own investigators go over it and look for additional answers if needed.
The DA is not a local agency to start with, that’s what the D in DA `stands for.

Cite a post by any of them stating there was no probable cause for arrest on the night of the shooting and we’ll discuss it.
