I dunno.
I spent the first year of COVID living in Arizona.
It seemed like every tenth person I ment was a California refugee.
Heck of it was half of them complained and wanted to make AZ more like California.

Makes sense. California is expensive. Not everyone can afford it. But most try due to weather, outdoor activities, entertainment, etc.

A lot of people don’t realize that although CA is expensive… wages are also higher. Remaining wages after taxes (all taxes) is also higher than a most states…. To include Texas.

Link?

Poppycock. Look at the numbers.

:rofl::+1:t4:

If you love it so much…move.

Link to that claim. CA ranks 49 out of 50 on affordability.

my brother charges after midnight, rates go down.

Allan

My post was simply talking about wages and wages left over after taxes. That’s it.

Yea that is why I asked for a link. I don’t believe you. Especially when you consider all taxes. Sales, fuel, property ect.

Infrastructure, roads and bridges are in dire need of repair throughout the country. But, the taxes paid on gas isn’t getting the job done. Jeeze, I wonder why? :woman_shrugging:

So, let’s ignore all of that and go electric when the infrastructure for that isn’t even ready.

Who gets to determine the quality of someone else’s life?

Not just for EV’s…

Now imagine if a tanker or pipeline of petroleum had done this…

Good point. They can’t even get forestry management under control.

Well let’s just compare Texas and CA, using a simple metric.

Minimum wage…

CA has a minimum wage of $15
TX has a Minimum wage of 7.25.

In other words a annual salary/income of 31,200 vs 15,080.

So unless CA taxes at 50% and TX taxes at 0%… people in CA have more money left over than those in Texas. That is just using minimum wage.

Lol you took that long to come up with the most simplistic thing you could devise and still failed miserably. That is not how it works you said all taxes. You made the claim show the link?

No need.

Do you think CA taxes @ 50% of total income and TX at 0%?

Doesn’t matter that is on a very small part of what you were talking about. You are assuming everyone is making min wage which is false. You said all taxes and implied all income. So now prove it.

But let’s say you are right on taxes. What about everything else? Food, fuel, electricity, water, housing, basic necessities. Does it overcome the disparity on taxes?
