The United States is their foremost opponent, and NATO is an existential threat to Russia. By having Trump in, support from the US for NATO has weakened and our alliances which used to hold Russia at bay are now falling apart. He has ceded Syria to Russia. He has torn this country apart in many ways, which makes us weaker and helps Russia as well.
It’s the best investment they have ever made. And it keeps on giving.

Exactly. There’s going to be some release about Biden that isn’t evidence of wrong-doing, but Trump and the CEC will spin it was nefarious and use it as fodder in the election. Trump won’t be directly tied to Russia’s efforts but it’s clear to any rational person what’s going on here.
Like with the Ukraine saga, Trump doesn’t actually want an investigation into any wrongdoing by the Bidens. He wants a headline to help him get reelected. Russia provides that for him.

Russia was ceded to Syria before Trump came into office let’s be honest, remember the whole redline? Shortly after that September 2015 Russia brought equipment to Syria and launched missiles in Syria. Their military buildup in Syria was mostly over the naval base of Tartus, in which they are not going to give up.
I am not buying the NATO holding Russia at bay part, it is time the other nations of NATO do more to protect themselves (Obama said this as well),… Russia has the GDP of Italy and 50% of their economy is oil which has been hammered. The average salary in Russia is at around $8,000. A country like Germany could easily build up more of their military to face any threat Russia could pose, and that’s not counting the other wealthy western European nations.
