No they don’t.

Google and Koch brothers team up to take on bail reform
Google is revving up its support for bail reform and it's getting help from one of the most influential groups in Washington — the Koch political network.
No they don’t.
WuWei:
No, it’s not. See this is why nobody likes you progs.
Nah- plenty of conservatives want to get away from wealth based detention as well.
Heck. Even the Koch network agrees that holding people in jail before trial it because they are too poor to pay bail is not a great thing to do.
This is one of those things it seems that the “conservative” reaction is to be agin it because it is what the Libs want and not because there is some overarching idea about the powers that the State should and should not have.
Is it fair to make it $1M for Gates or Bezos?
Is it fair to make it $1,000 for me and nothing for you because of the color of your skin?
Bail for super wealthy and powerful people is at times denied because of flight risk for severe crimes. Maxwell is a good example of this.
And yes it’s stupid, unconstitutional and costly to us as taxpayers to lock people up for not having any money.
They aren’t.

I entirely concur. If a conservative presented what I or other liberals are saying, I think you’d get lots of head nods from conservatives.
It’s actually pretty bread and butter for conservatives to reduce the authority of the State. Theoretically.

What if he was out, got drunk and hit your loved one head on? Would you then comprehend the point?
Bail reform is examining non-violent crimes.
No it isn’t.
If you are asking how I would feel if someone paid means adjusted or no bail and committed a crime while out? I would answer the same way someone who was wealthier and paid the bail and committed a crime while out- mad. But there is no reason to create two classes of people- especially at taxpayer expense.
There are already multiple classes of people and you are using them.

Jim Crow laws targeted blacks. Bail laws target poor people. Unconstitutional.
You haven’t made a case for unConstitutional still. The rest is fee fees.

Fee fees. Make your case. Without outcomes
Misdemeanors can be violent.

Here is from the Kochs
Pre trial detention should be based on risk and not income.

Those crazy crazy Libby libs.
Ok pretty hashed out.
Here is a good article explaining why the Koch brothers are pushing for bail reform.

Google is revving up its support for bail reform and it's getting help from one of the most influential groups in Washington — the Koch political network.
Ha ha- same thinking.
Wait you are talking about a violent offender out on bail because he paid the bond.
At the time of the killing, Lewis, who had been arrested at least 67 times, was out on two felony personal recognizance (PR) bonds, which don’t require cash to get of jail but impose restrictions such as GPS monitoring or drug testing.
Ok I’d have to delve into this case, but it’s not what bail reform is targeting. Look at the Koch brothers articles above.
Heck…. Just a few short years ago Rand Paul found common ground on this with Kamala Harris…. But Libby libs want it so NO!!!

There is currently no universal system of designating a bail amount for individuals awaiting trial.
Wow- never knew that.
Wow- never knew that.
Because it is an issue that most people understand is broken and needs reform but you see here Libs want it so it must be bad.
Rand Paul:
“Americans should be able to expect fair and equal treatment under the law regardless of how much money is in their pockets or how many connections they have.”
Bingo!
