The proof is required to convince the necessary cabinet officers to sign on and then to convince congress if the removed president contests it.
There’s also something called “intent” and of course, we know there was no intent behind the 25th to allow for the removal of a president simply because you don’t like him.

We have the text messages and testimony to show that it was. The whole thing was cooked up originally to keep Trump from being elected and then to undermine his presidency.
