Altair's critical race theory

LIB dominance of education, media and entertainment is nothing new either.

Its not indoctrination… just victimhood in general. It’s a natural part of growing up and socializing. Some kids having it stronger than others and most people grow out of it eventually. It can also be influenced by your social groups, especially in later years of high school and in college.

Do most people of color go into social sciences and humanities or STEM?

Is it an accident?

That’s incorrect.

Yes they are

Neither is younger people being generally having less life experience leading to somewhat more idealistic positions

To me bootstrapping is success without any assistance in any environment. It involves luck and yes a hand up (personal savings that can come from inheritance i guess).

A hand up is assistance.

Victimhood is taught to children by the adults in their lives who have influence over them. For example, I grew up in a very poor household, but I was not really aware of that until I was an adult because my parents never bemoaned their economic situation or blamed it on somebody else. And yes, I was aware that some of my friends had more than I did, but I chalked that up to their parents being more generous than mine, not that they necessarily had more money.

The majority of liberals who vote do so and do so without assistance.

I think we should also help poor conservative voters who have trouble getting to a polling place or getting time away from work or the kids to vote… in fact assistance should be offered regardless of political belief. Voting is a good thing. We should encourage voting. In neither situation should these voters be told who to vote for.

So the secret to raising children without a sense of victimhood is to never expose them to hardships you, the parent, are experiencing?

We need more liberals as religious leaders.

Do you have any real life examples of such? I don’t see how this is possible.

It’s not.

It’s a myth

I’m not taking a test for you.
My qualifications to have a theory are none of your business.

If conservatives dominated education, media and entertainment I strongly believe the young would vote Republican.

Or simply making conscious choices to better oneself, along with the requisite hard work.

I plotted my choices early on and worked to put myself through college. Coming from a family of 10 living in poverty, there was absolutely no way my folks could afford to send any of us to college. After a very successful and rewarding career, I’m now comfortably retired with my loving wife.

Neither luck nor inheritance had anything to do with my success and I’m not unique in that regard. Choices have consequences and the consequences of my hard work and dedication to my chosen career paid off handsomely.

LIBs like to promise that anyone can make a living wage by flipping burgers for the rest of their lives. They point to those who can’t make a living wage flipping burgers and call them victims. That’s part of the entitlement society. Everyone should be treated exactly the same financially, whether one puts forth the effort to better themselves or whether they choose to simply flip burgers.

And the point that on an individual level it’s plausible because luck plays a role in boot strapping

You can’t project it onto society as whole.

Boot strapping when applied to society as a whole is as idealistic of a position as world peace

Did you know that nobody uses that term anymore? Nobody has asked anyone to boot strap outside of the privacy of their bedroom for probably 20 years.

And yet 10s of millions of Americans do exactly that. Go figure!

What’s mythical is the LIB notion that big government can provide for everyone, as in cradle to grave.
