I’ll remember that when someone posts their hundredth thread on AOC…

Are you dismissing them as flyover?

We are supposed to cater to flyover country as the bastion of American ideals, except when they actually talk.

You have a funny way of showing it when you would reelect the person daydreaming about killing innocents.

Is it possible the mayor will feel emboldened if re-elected?

Is it possible that sort of talk encourages others to hate homosexuals and act on that hate?

I’d love to see the quote of Pelosi calling for the killing of deplorables. Can you provide a link? I couldn’t google it successfully.

As an aside, I would happily vote Republican if the Democrat voiced calling for the murder of Pro-life people.

I was with you until you made it about Trump! I guess you just couldn’t help yourself.

You make it sound like Republican’s alone are extremists when it comes to this kind of crap. We both know that simply isn’t the case. The guy is obviously a piece of work, but that has nothing to do with me, Trump or the Republican party.

Are you seriously comparing AOC to that poor excuse for a human being? She might be a political nutcase but she isn’t a racist piece of garbage.

Wow did you misread why I made that post.

If I did I apologize.

Most republicans don’t have the same opinion as the Mayor of Alabama.

We will see if most Republicans in his distract do…

Looks to me like he was brainstorming on solutions to the problems someone was articulating. He admitted that the "solution was “bad”, but presumably he couldn’t [yet] think of a more viable solution. I didn’t think he was advocating killing homosexuals and transgenders as his final position, but rather it seemed to me that he was fishing for alternatives that were better.

Seems like a perfectly acceptable discussion between friends wrestling with a thorny ethical issue, which he perhaps mistakenly thought was happening via private messaging. It’s not the sort of comment you would want to let loose on a public forum though, where most people are not capable of distinguishing between considering all possible options out loud and advocating a settled policy.

So, what solution would others in this forum suggest to the concern that - “We live in a society where homosexuals lecture us on morals, transvestites lecture us on human biology, baby killers lecture us on human rights and socialists lecture us on economics”?

“Without killing them there’s no way to fix it.”

You’re in your own special little basket there, Mayor McSleeze.

If there is one thing social media has had a positive effect on is idiots outing themselves as sleezeballs, racists, morons, and so on. They just cant help themselves, and for some odd reason they cant even manage to set their privacy settings correctly.

In no way did I generalize about Republicans. I pointed out one Republican whose behavior is odious. At that point it is the responsible of other Republicans to oppose by their actions or endorse by their silence.

Your complaint has no validity at all.

That “piece of work” is a Republican official.

It was just an idea!

I mean, if only we could go back to the golden days of yore when you could talk about exterminating society’s undesirables as a hypothetical solution and NOT be brutally and savagely attacked by PC thugs.

Calm down!

Yes it definitely had a “I’m just throwing this 'let’s kill ‘em all’ out there as a way of stimulating a deep discussion…don’t read anything into it” vibe to it.

Lots of deep moral questions have been investigated by starting off with talking exterminating people.
