Border/foreign policy. Kamalaâs answers during town halls and interviews about how she wouldnât do anything different than Biden or that they didnât do the executive order that lowered border crossings sooner because they wanted to get a deal with Congress done and Anderson followed up with the obvious do the order and keep working on the deal.
The account also posted another clip from the town hall, which has been viewed more than 220,000 times. In the video, Cooper asked Harris about ârecord border crossingsâ in 2022 and 2023 before President Joe Biden issued an executive order in June 2024 that placed limits on the number of asylum-seekers allowed across the U.S.-Mexico border.
The host questioned why the administration didnât issue such an order in previous years. Harris replied, âBecause we were working with Congress and hoping that actually we could have a long-term fix to the problem instead of a short-term fix.â
I disagree with our president choosing this point in time to blame DEI for a plane crash that killed dozens of Americans. His use of the bully pulpit is an issue that I disagree with him on.
Not at all. You used the example of mass shootings and I have been critical of Biden politicizing those events in the immediate aftermath.
With a mass shooting, we very quickly know that the root cause of the shooting is a human being with a firearm. Obviously investigations into how they got hold of the firearm, how they got access to the area, mental state etc has to be investigated and determined but the discussion can move on much faster.
With an air crash the root cause can take months if not years so its a much slower process but in the meantime speculation by our leaders is useless and unhelpful.
