Come on no one is obsessing over Trump.
He is the President and when he talks the whole world listens. They are still pulling bodies out of the Potomac and he gave a press conference and started speculating the root cause was DEI. Why even speculate?
He should have been reassuring the public that US investigators will figure out what happened and despite this horrific disaster US air travel is still safe.

That’s not what he was doing. He obviously is serious about what he believes DEI has done to this country. Trump being Trump, verbalized his thoughts.
Was it the right thing to do? Was it Presidential?
