A trump op-ed almost entirely composed of lies and misleading statements

…and now Trump supports do not just overlook his lies, they actually LIKE them. They WANT to be lied to.

We, as a country, are doomed if our voting population actively celebrates being lied to.

Like fixing health care on day one. Or wiping out the debt when he actually massively increased it.

This stuff is way too easy.

To be fair, if I was supporting a massive, massive liar I would have to talk about other people as well. What other strategy works?

Our country has had major ■■■■■■■ before. Like slavery and women not being able to vote and interracial marriage being illegal and gay marriage being a illegal. Along with millions of other things. We always fix them in the long run. This Trump era is going to pass and we’ll fix what they did. It just takes our country time. Our country is an aircraft carrier and not a speed boat. We don’t turn on a dime.

The country may have been humming along for rich elite progressive leftist socialists & welfare freeloaders who live on the east and west coasts of the country and in Washington DC but it was not working for the rest of the country. We fixed that with the results of the 2016 election!

Now I’m done taking with you

Yeah, that’s not true at all. The economy is pretty much the same as it was under Obama. It continues to chug along on the same path. I know that kills you Trump Republicans. Can’t help you with that.

Donald Trump isn’t done making America Great again. The tax cuts were the first step in redistributing wealth from the liberal coasts, and to the real parts of America. There are still real problems with jobs leaving rural America, and only by reducing the political power of the urban areas further will we be able to even out the balance economically. There’s no reason why urban areas shouldn’t subsidize the lifestyle of people who prefer to live in rural areas.

That’s my take on the subject
It’s been nice talking to you.

Maybe republicans can establish a national sales tax and then redistribute the sales tax revenue to the rural counties to keep getting elected (like the NC Republican Super Majority did).

It’s bizarre, but the whole “campaign device” thing was an early and explicit tell.

In an ever-changing, incomprehensible world the masses had reached the point where they would, at the same time, believe everything and nothing, think that everything was possible and that nothing was true . . . Under such conditions, one could make people believe the most fantastic statements one day, and trust that if the next day they were given irrefutable proof of their falsehood, they would take refuge in cynicism; instead of deserting the leaders who had lied to them, they would protest that they had known all along that the statement was a lie and would admire the leaders for their superior tactical cleverness.

That last part is really important: we often see it here in threads like this. Hey, Who cares? Everyone else is lying all the time. We were always in on the con!

If it was the same as it was under Obama why is the fed only now raising interest rates as opposed to keeping them near zero and doing QE?

Didn’t QE end in 2015?

Yes, thanks to trump.

I’m sorry, was that not during Obama’s term?

Yes it was. Well before the end of it too.

You’ve been corrected on that lie before.

Except nope, they may have ended adding new QE but they were rolling it over and didn’t actually start to wind it down until, tada October 2017

from Yellen fires starting gun on the end of QE

20 September 2017 • 7:27pm

Next month the Federal Reserve will start to run down the stock of bonds which it bought under the quantitative easing (QE) programme as Janet Yellen signals the end of the scheme to pump more money into the US economy.

Perhaps you haven’t learned how to separate a person from his actions.

Earlier I listed some things I like that he has done. I want more of those things to happen. I’m not going to abandon support of those things just because of who is driving success in those areas.

Heck, I’ll even drive a Volkswagen.

That’s just warped libberish there.

What makes you think his inherent deceptive personality won’t trickle into his policies?

Fair enough.
