I would like to know just how often this happens.
How many go down with a shooting without fatalities? How often is there a dog shot?
How often is there a successful apprehension?
Sure looks to be a foolish operation putting both good and bad in peril.

It means you’re pre-judging what the jury will decide. You may very well be right. It’s a high-odds guess.
I’m just saying you can’t declare it so on behalf of the jury.
I’ll accept whatever decision the jury makes.
My original point, though, was to encourage us to put aside our personal pre-judgments regarding what “really” happened. We only have what the media have fed us. Remember Covington Catholic.

It’s sttil early… Coffee hasn’t kicked in. Each time I look at that I see, “Remember the oops …”
And somehow that would seem an appropriate typo as of late.

I have a copy from library. Will be starting it soon based on your recommendation.
Would have started it sooner, but fishing has been outstanding.

Apparently the guy they were looking for didn’t even live there and was already in jail.
If that’s the case, someone, or a lot of someones, better go to jail.

Sounded to me like they did multiple places at the same time.
Maybe they should of let these guys know they already had the guy.

Just like a rat. Jumping ship. I wonder how many of his officers he’ll throw under the bus to save his own ass.

Further…

Following six nights of monitored sleep lasting eight hours per night, the study participants were given a performance test that involved adding randomly generated, two-digit numbers, said Wright. Based on the results, the researchers concluded the subjects exhibited the most severe impairments from sleep inertia within the first three minutes after awakening, he said.
The most severe effects of sleep inertia generally dissipated within the first 10 minutes, although its effects are often detectable for up to two hours, according to the study authors.
Studies conducted by Dr. Thomas Balkin and colleagues at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Washington, D.C., have shown cortical areas of the brain like the prefrontal cortex take longer to come “on-line” following sleep than other areas of the brain, Wright said. The prefrontal cortex is thought to be responsible for problem solving, emotion and complex thought.
Anyone here make their best decisions 1 minute after waking up?
Nope and the shocked aunt who I roundly cursed when she woke me from an afternoon nap when I was in high school can confirm. I didn’t even remember doing it, still don’t but she wouldn’t have made it up.
