Parroting much of the same language used by President Trump in his constant barrage against the media, federal authorities charged 68 year old Californian Robert Chain of repeatedly attacking the Boston Globe in phone calls as “the enemy of the people” and threatened to come shoot employees in the head.
He has been charged with making threatening communications in interstate commerce. Hopefully a nice example is made out of him.
Someone, or multiple someone’s, are going to end up dead as a result of this dangerous rhetoric coming from the man with the loudest megaphone in the world.
According to court documents, immediately following the announcement, Chain began making threatening calls to the Boston Globe ’s newsroom. In the calls, Chain referred to the Globe as “the enemy of the people” and threatened to kill newspaper employees. In total, it is alleged that Chain made approximately 14 threatening phone calls to the Globe between August 10 and 22, 2018.
It is further alleged that on Aug. 16, 2018, the day the coordinated editorial response was published in the Boston Globe , Chain called the Globe newsroom and threatened to shoot Globe employees in the head “later today, at 4 o’clock.” As a result of that call, local law enforcement responded to the Globe ’s offices and maintained a presence outside the building to ensure the safety of the employees.
Yeah, somebody’s going to get shot because of Trump’s rhetoric. It’s just a matter of time. And can you imagine how crazy they’ll get if he loses the next election.
Bet a beer that the dude is a down and out lib who knows he will incriminate Trump with his rhetoric. He knows that california and Massachusetts jails are better than under highway 405.
