You know your woke when the French call you out

First from my time in France and studies, French society has always valued being run by intellectuals so this might sting a bit, good.

First I might add it’s ■■■■■■■ embarrassing when the French are calling us woke pansies.

President Macron said

“The threat is said to be existential. It fuels secessionism. Gnaws at national unity. Abets Islamism. Attacks France’s intellectual and cultural heritage.”

And who is the president of France warning and talking about? Must be some place bad Syria? Somalia? for sure, nope America’s progressive woke left. :man_facepalming:

From the president of France, hardily a right wing hate icon

The threat? “Certain social science theories entirely imported from the United States,’’ said President Emmanuel Macron.

In the NYT’s piece, the article is linked at the bottom all blocks with quotes are from the article,
which is a good read even though at times the NYT’s has to paint some wokeness in it still is a rebuttal by an ally on the dangers of woke politics.

“French politicians, high-profile intellectuals and journalists are warning that progressive American ideas — specifically on race, gender, post-colonialism — are undermining their society. “There’s a battle to wage against an intellectual matrix from American universities,’’ warned Mr. Macron’s education minister."

Well no ■■■■ at least half of the country has been saying this here for years while a decent percentage of the left has lost their collective minds trying to one up the next on seeing who can be more woke or how far they can push it often encouraged by the media and rarely denounced within the party.

“Emboldened by these comments, prominent intellectuals have banded together against what they regard as contamination by the out-of-control woke leftism of American campuses and its attendant cancel culture."

:man_facepalming: I never thought I would be cheering for the Je capitule French but hey here I am and if it takes of all countries France to open the eyes to something so melelavont it should frighten anyone who loves, cherishes and wants to keep western society so be it. Good on the French, but embarrassing Je suis France.

So basically Americas woke is like covid-19 an invasive entity that crawls into your country wreaks havoc while simultaneously breaks down society. To bad theres no vaccine.

France is just one of many. The anti-science nonsense about what constitutes a man and a women will be the death of respect for American science in many countries. And the social “science” maxim that “terrorists just need jobs” (credit to the Obama administration) doesn’t seem to have taken hold outside wokedom either. Being outside the reach of American progressive liberal totalitarianism, the rest of the world is free to flirt with those ideas but eventually let real science prevail.

Screw France.

Michel Foucault among others is their glass house.

Marine le Pen is super mad they’re not gonna do blackface at the opera anymore lol.

This isn’t coming from Le Pen, this is the mainstream guy.

No, the leader of everyone’s favorite openly crypto-fascist European political party is in there too.

Progressivism has apparently gone full circle because the left brought it to our universities nearly 100 years ago. Look up “The Frankfurt School”. They brought that ■■■■ to Columbia University, which at the time was primarily a teacher’s college.

Frence doesn’t want to admit that it is a multicultural society as a result of their colonial past.

They would rather everyone think of themselves as French with some French considered more French than others.

Oh no! Ideas at college!

It’s not embarrassing at all. The french have always been stubborn over their former colonial possessions and revel in their glorious empire of yesterday. They are still sending troops to their former possessions all over Africa to try to maintain hegemony.

Of course their leadership sees some threat in critical examination of history; that’s the same tainted legacy they draw pride from.

If information and truth disrupts your society, it was built on ■■■■■■■■ and lies.

Subversive ideas that have gotten us more divided and hateful of each other. They had to get rid of the “oppressive, patriarchal” notions like hard work achieves goals, the nobility of motherhood, honoring one’s word, you know, all that goofy stuff that the left hates.

You were saying…

The petition organizers then changed the wording of the document from an outright ban of Trump administration officials speaking, teaching or attending the university to holding these officials “accountable” before they deal with Harvard in the aforementioned capacities, people with direct knowledge of the matter say. Perhaps the students think that demands for a new set of guidelines specifically drawn up for the Trump officials sound better than an outright ban from campus. These are graduate liberal arts students. The whole point of a liberal arts education is to experience various points of view on a number of topics and learn to discern between what the student believes in and what the student does not. Learning to reason is a big part of the process.

Harvard graduate students no less.

This is why you won’t see me support anything AOC or Bernie, or any of those people say. We walk a fine line right now. It is up to conservatives/republicans to put good candidates out there for us to vote on. I do not want to vote for anyone who is going to blindly defend the indefensible, blindly support a blatant liar, and then act line the people of this country are the problem.

I want to vote for conservatives who go to Washington, do their job, not spend their day giving credit and credence to Qanon conspiracy theories, and insisting that what I see/witness isn’t really happening.

On the other side. You will never catch me supporting Bernie AOC or any other socialist type democrats. As I said…we walk a fine line…and right now is not the time for giving credence to these types of theories.

That said, there are a lot of things that the French could stand to wake up to…Most of Europe could stand to wake up to. Macron’ is defending his and his governments willingness to ignore some things that need to be changed within society overall.

There were many of us screaming about this ■■■■ 5-6 years ago when they where shutting people down from speaking at universities. We knew nothing good would come from grooming college kids this way. I finished college in 2008 and they were not acting like this or maybe I just didn’t see it in the science/engineering depts.

Speakers for today
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - ok yay
Susan Rice - NO! Get off the stage. Safe spaces, healing puppy, play doh, cookie breathing…
