How old were millennials then?

What about the real numbers??? We’ve gone from the %40 UE the CEC was reporting to %4 or so in less than 3 years. You’d think the Whitehouse would shouting that from the rooftops daily…

The poor seem to be doing pretty good living out of everybodyelses pockets

The income growth rate was good under Clinton’s 2 term/8 year Administration at about $6000 I believe but Trump is on pace to do better since he is already close at about $5000 (not including the tax credit) of the Clinton record and Trump did in less then 3 years.

It started with the first Bush.

The dow is set to break more record highs under the trump economy. The roaring 20’s are beginning.

Very true. What’s as important as the school is the drive of the individual. There are simply millions of people have made no effort to prepare for life. What do we do with them?

Especially in California. Live where you like, poop where you like.

This thread is just ranting about poor people?

No. Did somebody say something untrue? The tread is about the Dems lying about the economy not working for lower income people. The facts say otherwise.

Have you adjusted for inflation? You can’t compare dollar to dollar over such a long time period.

Nice try though.

Retrain and relocate is the only thing I can think of. Take California where some have jobs but can’t afford rent.

Have you adjusted for the time difference of 3 years vs 8 years?

No. Still wondering why you are comparing absolute dollars and not dollars pegged to a specific year. That’s the way real research would be done.

Looking at change in absolute wage can be misleading. CPI and absolute wages/earnings is a better metric.

Nominal wages and real earnings are still poor.

One of the factors contributing to the rise in wages for low-earners is that a slew of states hiked their minimum wage rate in 2019 — and more are slated to do so in 2020. In fact, workers in 24 states will receive a pay raise next year, thanks to minimum wage increases.

According to a report published by the National Employment Law Project, a worker advocacy group based in New York, 21 states and 26 cities and counties are set to increase the pay floor for workers on Jan 1. By the end of the year, 24 states — including California, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey and Washington — and 48 cities and counties will raise their minimum wage, some well above the current federally mandated $7.25 per hour rate.

Hmm…how is this traceable to any Trump policy?

Many of these states aren’t raising the minimum wage just for the hell of it either. People are demanding it. A 2 bedroom apartment in Hillsboro runs $2100 a month now, to rent. That’s more than the mortgage on my house. Never mind Oregon requires you to make 3x that to qualify as a renter. It’s beyond ridiculous.

Clinton was also a globallust (this was a typo, but I like it).He wasn’t having to pilot the economy against a headwind of globalist media and banking conspirators talking down and willing to sabotage the US economy in order to bring down an anti-globalist presidency. His job was a lot easier.
