Can I vote now in the 2024 election?
Of course voting has to be limited.
Some just have a fit if its Republicans doing the limiting.

Dem leaders could care less about voter confidence in elections… That’s the real assault on democracy…

Clarity and consistency.

It is for clarity and consistency.

I don’t understand how this is at all a hardship.

There’s clarity and consistency in all forms of voting…including the kind we have been doing since the Civil War.

And some states have been doing exclusively for 30 years.

Election Day…Clear.

Election season…less clear.

Just offering my perspective.

Election Day…no controversy.

Explain to me why giving people more time and opportunities to vote is a bad thing?

It isn’t bad.

More confusing and promotes malaise if you lack the urgency of election day.

It’s like fixing a work of art.

Seems like its only Cons that don’t have confidence lately…I wonder why that is. They were happy with them in 2016.

Does Texas have to do it like them?

Actually they have.

When you register to vote they check that you are a citizen (at least for state and federal elections) and that you have not committed a felony. If you have committed a felony and not had your franchise restored your registration is invalid.

Who is they?

I love how the “less gubment” connies all want more laws to fix problems that have not been proven to exist.

Go connies go! lol.

Same law, just inclusion.

They limit the time possible to vote, which means fewer people will vote.

TX is trying to limit voting to those who can legally vote.

Libs/dems don’t want that.

Okay, now THAT part is not cool. I think there is more to it.
