Thats been my experience too. Ive had LDS come to my door at least 3 times in my life to talk about God, aling with local pastors walking around. Never had an atheist knock on my door pushing their beliefs. I also know 2 friends whose families practically disowned them for abandoning their faith. Never seen in my life atheists disowning their children for believing.
Borrowed this but its great:
Atheists need to stop knocking on doors spreading our ātruthā and having tax exempt organizations dedicated to atheism that have influential political action committees. We need to stop printing āin atheism we trustā on all US currency and saying āone nation, under atheismā in the pledge of allegience. We will also stop insisting that everyone who disagrees with us will be sentenced to eternal damnation.
Do you put a candle under a bed to hide the light?
Religions not bad, the people who misinterpret it and then try to tell others it says this or that, thatās whatās bad. about it.
Thereās but 1 God, Godless men want their own Gods so it fitās their lifestyles so they make up their own or just read the parts of the Bible that makes them FEEL good about themselvesā¦
Religion went bad cuz people rely on other people to read the Bible for them and tell them what it means and how to act, this is why we have "Jim Jones n David Koreshās, etcā¦
WAKE UP your Soul is relying on you to figure it out!
1974 I was 12 yrs old, telling people Europe was going to unite one day and become a global power from which The Beast(The Antichrist) would rise from.
People laughed at me, told me I was dumb little kid that the Berlin Wall would have to come down for that to happen, plus many other things.
I continued to tell the story that led me to this, the Book of Daniel, that book has it all laid out on the world leaders unto the end of days, 1st was Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, then the Medes n Persians, then the Greeks, then the Romans, Head of Gold, Breast of Silver, Belly n Thighs of Brass and the Legs of Iron, then the Feet of Clay with 10 Toes, horns, kings etcā¦
When the Berlin Wall came down in 1989 and 7 nations joined the 3, Belgium, Brussels n Netherlandsā¦7+3=10 nations, kings, toes and then it went to 11, 12 n 13, just as the word of God says, then the world started joining, just as its written , I think were at 29 now.
When the EU collapseās they will call upon a man to help them, that man is the Beast spoken of for couple 1000 yrs.
Iāve heard the soft spoken word from God 3x in my life, he is real, and he should me the end of our days as wee know them.YLBD
My parents generation seen the Fig Tree Blossom, my generation seen its branch stretch forth, THIS generation, WILL see ALL things FULFILLED Praise, Glory n Honor be unto my Father.YLBD
Religion is not becoming extinct, it is evolving.
The current execution of Christianity is becoming extinct, as we leave the Age of Pisces (the Fish) and enter the Age of Aquarius (the Angel).
We are in the infant throws of another spiritual renaissance.
Religion is perfectly fine to me. Now organized religion that is a whole other story.
Some religions are about this.
Many are notā¦especially the āone wayismā religions are not like this at all. At BEST, they pay lip service to āgetting along with othersā while subtly encouraging at best indifference and at worst downright hatred of those who do not believe as they do.
Those people are not part of an organization that covered up crimes even at the highest level though.
Iād prefer them just withering away. Religions came about mostly because it was the most personal way we could describe phenomena that we saw. We tend to have a hyper agency awareness, ascribing things which are in humans to events which have no agency, nor are moved by an agent.
I donāt know anyone who believes Christianity is the cause of war, dissension in family and communities. Jesus said turn the other cheek, so it depends on the religion.
Pagan religion like the Aztecs and Romans caused war and slavery on a massive scale, so did Islam. I think of socialism as a secular religion and itās as bad or worse than those other three. Certainly caused much more death in a far shorter time than all deity based religions.
Christianity tends to engender many assumptions about people then scares them with hell so people end up not being able to connect with others on a personal level.
Man will always invent a religion to shift blame toā¦
On multiple occasions over the last few years, Iāve had christians knock on my door and ask if they could come in and discuss their beliefs with me, in an effort to convert me.
Iāve had people with āsoap boxesā on busy streets, yell at me and tell me Iām going to hell if I donāt convert.
Iāve been handed pamphlets outside of rock shows, telling me Iām going to hell if I donāt stop listening to devil music, and convert.
I actually had someone in fast food joint tell me if I didnāt read his pamphlet and convert, Iād go to hell.
Decades ago, when I was delivering pizza, I got a ātipā that consisted of a pamphlet telling me why I should become a christian or go to hell.
Any Sunday, I can turn on my TV or radio and hear preachers telling me how wrong I am to be an atheist and if I donāt become a christian, I will be going to hell.
However, Iāve never experienced any of these things from atheists, but if we dare bring up or share our beliefs, weāre forcing them on christians.
Give me a ā ā ā ā ā ā ā break.
Are you forced to let the Christians into your house? Do you yell at them, or politely tell them that youāre not interested, and have a choice? Or do they bust down your door and run in tying you up, and forcing you to listen to what they have to say? lol.
People of different faiths come to my door also trying to hand out pamphlets, and I simply say no thank you and that Iām not interested, it doesnāt matter if they were devil worshipers, Atheists, Agnostics, Buddhists, Muslims, or anything that I donāt believe in.
What brand of soap boxes are we talking about? are you forced to walk down that street? Especially if you know people handing out pamphlets are going to be on a certain street?
Were you mad at someone for not giving you a money materialistic tip, and instead they gave you a pamphlet?
Are you forced to turn the t.v. or radio and listen to preachers on Sunday?
Iām not really sure what youāre talking about in this aspect. Youāre trying to say that
Christians force their Religion upon people. Well, I think that youāre definition and the actual real definition of āForcingā things upon a person is majorly different.
In each and every case that you wrote up above, you had a choice every time to listen to the person or people or not. You had a choice to take the flyer or not. When I think of someone forcing something, choice usually doesnāt come into my mind. lol.
Sureā¦ But that falls under what I call extremism. Or, to use your language, Iād prefer if all religion were āneuteredā and unable to rally people to religious violence.

Far Left wing Socialist Democrat Politicians are āExtremistsā in general.
In the year 7000, human beings will be calling the 20th and21st century the dark ages due to constant religious fighting.
You donāt read much history, do you. Compared to the past, we have little religious fighting.

and by the 70th century we wont have any.

Tell that to the people of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The town is STILL split to this day.
The reasons for that are as much ethnic as they are religious. The Northern Irish Protestants are the descendents of the English and Scotch Presbyterians who moved to Northern Island in the 17th century. Northern Ireland, before that point, had been the most anti-English part of Ireland, so the English moved in as many non-Irish Protestants there in order to pacify the area.
Iāve never heard a Catholic priest make any endorsement, either. We are to prayerfully consider candidates.
Iāve never heard a Catholic priest make an endorsement, either, and Iāve been a regular Mass goer as long as I can remember, and I"m 53 years old.
