Woke - Is The Pushback Beginning?

■■■■ that ■■■■■ Marines are to be trained to kill people and break things.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs is a ■■■■■■■■■ Marine fer crissakes.

So we didn’t do the pew-pewing right?

Is that basically what happened?

But that’s, like, our thing.

Yea I know, I are one…and I LOVE crayons…lmao

Tanks are gone, MP Batallions are now gone, oh but now sleeve tatts are ok…

There have been some ummm changes in the Corps over the last few years, apparently they were not for the better.

Maybe the US Marines need more LGBT+ in their ranks

"Not only do we want to reflect the communities we serve, but we know our people perform at their best when they can be themselves. Therefore we are fully committed to providing a workplace where our sailors and marines feel supported.

Second Sea Lord Vice Admiral Tony Radakin said: “To fulfil our mission of keeping Britain safe, we rely on the skills of the most talented people regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

“LGBT+ men and women should absolutely consider the Royal Navy or Royal Marines as a career option because we know our people are our strength.

“We will always provide a workplace where people can be themselves and differences are celebrated – it’s your talent and commitment that matters.

Has ZERO to do with this. This is a direct result of the current Commandant and SgtMaj of the Marine Corps and the changes they have made. Tank batallions disbanded, MP battalions gone, and those are just those I have heard about on some of the Marine groups I belong to on FB.

My smart-assedness aside, I think there is more to this than “UK kicks US ass”. Some of the articles I have read make it sound like this was more of our helping the UK to test out a new formation to address changes in how the UK thinks battles will be fought in the future. There were even Americans on the UK “team”.

Personnel from the US, Canada, United Arab Emirates and the Netherlands joined forces with the Royal Marines to make up the formation.

As US Marines pushed into the allied territory, the Royal Marines and their allies carried out raids behind enemy lines to stop further counterattacks.

“Throughout this deployment our focus has been on integrating game-changing capabilities from across the commando force to deliver disproportional effect in the face of a free-thinking peer adversary.”

There looks to be a pretty good discussion here from people who sound like they know what they are talking about saying the the exercise was not how the USMC would be used in real-life. It doesn’t sound like the battle scenario was one where the enemy would even have tanks. I have no way of knowing what the truth is of this, so am interested in your and other’s takes.

The Marine Corps is built around to put it bluntly, to locate, close with, and destroy the enemy. This concept is key to what is called a MAGTAF, Marine Air/Ground Task Force. We have our own Air Wing that includes C-130 Transport Aircraft, helo and fixed wing assets designed for both close air support and air superiority. Every fixed wing asset is capable of both air to ground or air to air combat even on the same mission. Combined with artillery, tank, and crew served weapons in the weapons platoon. Tanks were integral to this mission, for since before I was in they held Combigned Arms Excercises to perfect this concept. These exercises were held at 29 Palms (The stumps) for those of us who were/are in. The removal of tanks means a total rethinking of this concept.

Not sure of the details of this training exercise but one thing I CAN say with certainty, they didn’t “let” the Royal Marines win, they won fair and square. There is gonna be or SHOULD be some heads rolling after this.

Hope this helps

Do you really think wokism affected combat training?

I’m not saying it didn’t, but it seems like a stretch to say it did.

Thank you for that

Ask any active duty Marine, that’s all I can say.

From the article: “I wanted them to know why I was leaving. I’m glad to see that people saw that action was something important, and maybe they’ll be inspired to do something.”

They were. She must be feeling pretty good right now.

Seems this wokenes is now having political repercussions.

Straight from James Carville’s mouth…‘stupid wokeness’ cost Democrats in Virginia…and New Jersey.

He’s not pulling punches either.

Yep. They should have either won or “died” trying.

They certainly are busy changing definitions to meet their narratives.

“Juvenile delinquent” was supposed to be a euphemism for young punk. Eventually words take on the connotation of what they represent. Same with “woke” instead of bigoted left winger obsessed with race and gender.
