Wisconsin Brewery Mass Murder

What premise is stupid?

That not all people in an office will be carrying a concealed weapon, even if it is legal to do so?

Let’s say you’re in an office environment and you’re the only one with a gun. Have you told your colleagues that you have a conceal and carry permit?

If so, the wackadoodle who wants to shoot up your office will go for you first.

Or let’s say you’re smart and don’t tell anyone else that you carry a concealed weapon at all times. But you’re the kind of guy whom I sure looks capable of taking care of himself, so the wackadoodle will kill you first regardless.

You were the only one with a gun, you’re dead, the rest of the people in the office are helpless.

Unless they all have guns too.

And that is the sad situation! Is that not a sad situation, that we live in a society where people feel the need to carry a gun to protect themselves?

Unlike the kids in urban locations, who do it to protect themselves but also to kill anyone who dares to diss them…

Damn man keep up with your own posts.

True…but if you don’t know someone else is packing, you have to pack too, right?

The rest of this reply is just a complete fabrication not based in reality.

We have successful defensive gun uses to the tune of 1.5-2.5 million times in the US every year according to the gov’ts own figures.

We’ve had two mass shooters (Church Shooting) stopped dead in their tracks by average civilians stepping up that were huge national news so I know you didn’t miss them.

These guys aren’t very bright and rarely have anything resembling a plan which is when they are confronted with deadly force it generally stops them dead right then and there whether they are shot dead or not.

Paraphrased from the article, there’s the usual about taking guns away from those who are dangerous.

Yet this same article cites a man who was an electrician for 20 years and watched movies on his phone while on company time, and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).

How about instead taking power away from unions, or laws that make it easier to terminate employment from those watching videos while working before they have 20 years of service?

Or even analyzing data, and if there is little enough work the employee has time to watch movies on company time reducing those positions to part time?

The longer employees are retained when problematic the harder they are to dismiss & the more likely they are to snap when fired.

Just my two cents
