You realize it is going up as a response to the promise of government intervention. There is nothing in corporate earnings or investment that is driving this. So you have government intervention increasing stock values.
It will not continue to rise unless it becomes possible restart economic activity or the government provides more support as the quiet time in the economy adds up.
I think perhaps IRYW and now you are ridiculing imaginary arguments that no one is making. This is a pandemic. Like wars, it requires government involvement.

Wars require government involvement because the government owns and operates military equipment. Are you saying the government owns and operates private business during a pandemic? You don’t think private individuals should be able to decide amongst each other how they want to fight a pandemic?
Weren’t ya’ll just saying last week the Federal Government should stay out of it and leave it up to the States?
Where does it say in the Constitution that during a pandemic, the government can take control of private business and socialize our economy?
