Why does it have to be a conversation when a simple explanation will suffice.
If a long drawn out conversation is required then you can’t explain it and may be just an opinion as opposed to a specific word with a specific meaning.
So kids are not allowed to think its ok, got it.
Are they allowed any say in the matter?
The way I see it is, the head/brain dictates everything, it determines who a person is.
It literally sends signals to the body telling it how to function so only it can decide who a person really is.
The body has no intellectual thought so it (the brain) should get precedence as to the outcome.
So if one’s brain tells its body that it can fly I assume that the body will find some way to adjust?

My general opinion on the matter:
- Gender dysphoria is real, and children who experience it should be supported. Counseling is important and experiencing life as the other gender via dress can be started. Until puberty concludes I don’t think blockers should be used, they may have a completely different outlook once it concludes.
- The argument to start blockers before puberty mostly center around Male to Female patients. If started early, they are more “feminine”, more “attractive”. I don’t ascribe to this, this is about living a genuine life, not whether one is considered “attractive”. The risk does not outweigh the benefit. To me, this is something the parents want more than the child. If the path forward requires hormonal therapy beginning at 18 for everyone, that is going to be fine for everyone.
- There are some trans-trenders, to be sure, but there are also homophobic parents who would rather have a trans kid than a gay kid who is gender non-conforming, such as a butch girl or a feminine boy. The family dynamics are important here, who is really pushing for the treatments to start early?
- Trans people have a condition that requires treatment. Part of the cost of this condition is unfortunately going to be that Male to Female patients should not participate in competitive sports with biologic females. Enjoy an active and athletic life outside of competitive sports, it’s good for you. No one needs to be involved in competitive sports.

I did certainly teach my children what the scriptures have to say about homosexual behavior in places like the book of Romans.
As I said in the other post i raised them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

No, I don’t see it. Have kept my eyes and mind open on the matter but he seems similar to the guy I have always known. A little awkward, not the greatest talker and a bit more stiff moving than previous. Otherwise seems okay. I honestly would love for this upcoming election to be between anyone but Trump and Biden, but since Trump is determined to run (and I cannot blame him, it will keep him out of prison) I think Biden feels almost a duty to stand in opposition. Given his due, I imagine he would rather retire and enjoy the rest of his life with his family.
