But what do you think I should say to them? Do you really think your sexual attraction to both men and women is the same thing as the genetic abnormality that causes a very few people to be born hermaphrodites? Do you really think gender dystopia (a recognized mental disfunction) is the same as an attraction? If your answer is “yes,” there is no point in continuing this conversation.
How is it that you see us resisting schools getting between parents and their children with regard to sexuality is not trying to keep government out of our homes and bedrooms? It’s the schools (via their hopelessly liberal administrators) who are interfering in our private lives.
It is the teachers job to teach children to read, write, do math, learn history, etc.
It is NOT the teachers job to promote or talk favorably (or even mention) about lgbtq subjects and certainly NOT their job to bring nasty drag “queens” into the school with their rear ends hanging out.
If the parents want to talk about such things then that is up to them not outsiders like teachers.
I raised mine in a rural community that didn’t allow mention of lgbtq topics at all.
Raised them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord just as the scriptures instruct us to do.
I then sent them to a conservative Christian University.
They turned out to be happy, well adjusted adults. Christians with spouses and good jobs.
We are watching carefully to make sure the grandchildren are raised properly as well.
Folks, the next time some moron tells you that there’s somehow more than one gender, just remember that this mere toddler is more intelligent than their grown stupid asses will ever be.
It’s true that there are typically two combinations of sex chromosomes- XX and XY, denoting male and female respectively.
However, I wonder, those with genetic mutations (people with Turner syndrome, Kleinfelter syndrome, poly-X syndrome) are they any less of a person than those who don’t have genetic mutations? Personally I don’t think so. But I can’t imagine their lives are very easy.
A person is a person. How should we accomodate them?
Mainly asking my friends who also happen to be Conservatives this question. I don’t mind if Liberals and Libertarians chime in, though.
You just said you live in a community that doesn’t allow any mention of the Lgbtq community.
You didn’t say you live in a community that disagrees with them or their way of life.
You didn’t say that you talked to your children and expressed your opinion and if they were ever in danger to come to you.
You said you don’t allow any talk of the issue at all.
You don’t allow even the acknowledgement of their existence and want to pretend they’re not there.
And that is the problem because although you are entitled to your opinion you can’t erase a whole group of people.
Why can’t you wholeheartedly disagree and allow others an opinion.
I thought you guys were all about free speech, i guess not.
Well the way I see it, their conditions are medically based, that is entirely different than those that “think, feel” they were born in the wrong body.
