Yes I saw that but the amount and the scope matters I dug this up which includes the first lot of presidents.
“Washington issued a total of eight executive orders in his two terms, according to the project’s data, while John Adams, James Madison, and James Monroe all issued only one. Presidents who issued the least also include Thomas Jefferson (four) and John Quincy Adams (three).”
I don’t know exactly when they went into berserker mode with them, but they are monumental in what they do that I see little use for congress, maybe they could make special appearances to bring in a new judge or something.
Our socialist/fascist revolutionaries, which now control the Democrat Party Leadership, areknown for accusing others of what they themselves are guilty of.
Agreed I am not sure why some thinks everyone has to be lock step with their party in every way, or even worse agree with everything their party does. I am a conservative but have found myself agreeing with the left on quiet a few issues such as healthcare and certain safety nets although I think some need to be reformed.
A person can hold the position that abusive EO’s regardless of party are being abused and are detrimental to the system. Its not even the amount it’s the size of the EO’s that people take notice. All these laws are supposed to be written in congress regardless of who’s in charge. I don’t think that’s a radical position to hold.
Executive orders do not grant the power of “king” . He is still constrained by the limits on the power of the various departments over which he is the head. It is in Congress’ ability to claw back power from the executive. However, if Congress remains as badly divided as the rest of the country, get used to executive orders being the way this country is run
