Who's Setting The Agenda For The Democratic Party?

It is hilarious. People giving AOC power and influence she doesn’t have over the Amazon thing when it was the mishandling of the deal by DiBlasio and Cuomo. People didn’t like that it was for real a back room deal done in secret without any public or local input and when people started to simply question how it would work Amazon pulled out… because they didn’t want to answer those questions.

Amazon has still expanded in NYC without the huge tax breaks that they were going to get.

And somehow this is seen as a failure of “liberals” instead of a failure of corporate cronyism.

For the Amazon deal?

They aren’t. I didn’t say anything about money men having power.

This is seriously what is going on.

People still disagree on policy but none of that can get bashed out until Trump is gone.

That is the coalition.

Interesting. What and who got him onboard?

Wait wait wait, the answer was AOC? Geez no wonder they didn’t want to say. A first term Congresscritter whose popularity ratings are completely upside down and would only be electable in like five percent of the country? And she derailed the Amazon deal? Lol

You aren’t paying attention.

Oh look, more cryptic assertions you will back up with nothing.

Lol AOC is the puppet master!

On board with what? He sat on the State board that actually had the power to veto the deal.

He was one of the people who were actually questioning the size of the giveaway to Amazon.

Amazon didn’t like being questioned so they pulled out of that deal.

They have still expanded into NYC without the huge giveaways… seems like a long term
Win that conservatives would support.

100% the truth. It’s Trump and only Trump.

We aren’t paying attention but those who are aren’t saying the answer.

Cool.

I’m asking the question. You’re the democrat, who has the power in your party? Who is setting the agenda?

Where were the worst of the riots? Where did the police pull back?

Where? Atlanta? I answered earlier. I’m going with Atlanta. Why does this question matter in relation to your OP?

It’s a coalition party, so the agenda is set by a fight between the left and right wings of the party which places the agenda into a center left position.

If it wasn’t for Trump, we would have probably seen more of a fracturing between the Progressives and the corporate centrists and of Biden gets elected we will probably see that continue.

But not this time around, this is primarily about getting rid of Trump and sending the Trumpists faction of the GOP into the wilderness

Atlanta was the 2nd wave and the 2nd incident, but yes, they got out there quickly.

I read this yesterday.

Horrific stuff all the way around.

Well that’s not the whole story is it? You’re asking the question and when you get answers respond with “oh no that’s not it” and cryptic nonsense and won’t even answer who you’re talking about.

Fair assessment classically, but I believe you have missed the shift and the reason for it. Do you agree that the party has moved left? That the “left wing” is more powerful now than 6 months ago?

Do you believe the “corporate centrists” want to defund the police?

Did the concept of sanctuary cities work for illegal immigration? Why wouldn’t it work for others who need sanctuary?

I believe people like Angela Davis and Keith Ellison are mentoring, guiding this direction. That there is an alliance between these socialist Islamists and the communists anarchists whatever you want to call them that are doing the rioting.

I believe the size and intensity of the rioting shook those like Pelosi and Schumer to their core. They have lost control of the party.

I don’t think AOC is the leader. She makes too many mistakes. She is still learning. She is the junior in that bunch.

Pramila Jayapal - Seattle
Rashida Talib - Detroit
Ilhan Omar - Minneapolis
AOC - Bronx/Queens

In that order. Maybe flip Talib and Omar

Ellison - Minneapolis
Angela Davis - heroine to them all

There are no doubt others, I don’t know who they are.
