Who's ready for a little common sense?

How about this? How about we stop accusing everyone who disagrees with us of being racists? How about giving people the benefit of the doubt and assume they are not racists? How about not injecting race into every single issue? How about we understand that most Americans are no more racist than we are. Newsworld is lying to you. You are not surrounded by bigots. You are surrounded by really good people. The best in the world. Trust the real world. Not newsworld. In your life, you are not surrounded by bigoted friends and family. Stop acting like you are.

And finally this:

Why are we not promoting the idea that it is never, ever a good idea to resist police? Why is this so difficult to promote or even say? Common sense. When you resist police you make it very difficult for good police officers. You put them in a difficult situation where they are more likely to make a mistake under stress. And when you resist police, you also give bad officers an excuse to behave badly. You give them some cover.

This message must be promoted. We are crazy if we don’t.

Are you saying it’s a bad message and resisting police makes much more sense than compliance? People are safer resisting? Do you mean that? Or are you trying to get people killed to promote your agenda?

I’m convinced it’s the latter.

Are you less racists than your average person? I see absolutely no reason to believe you are. Prove it.

Yeah it’s generally better to cooperate. Don’t want to become a statistic.

But doesn’t it say a lot about American policing when we have to stand there and be degraded and you can’t do anything about it because the second you mouth off they slam you up against your car?

Does that sound like a republic of free citizens to you?

I agree that the race card is over used by both sides. But it does not mean that race is not a issue.
Bigots exist. I have watched it since I became aware of it in the 1960’s. I have hoped that over the years our political leaders would do more to make things better. But nothing has changed much. We got rid of many things that discriminated minorities. And I do believe that each new generation is more tolerant. But there will always be those few who are raised to hate people who are different then them. And what I wish the leaders of each race and religion and sexual orientation group would admit is that it all goes both ways. The one thing that does always bring me joy is when I see folks in this country who will do anything to help a fellow American who is in trouble.

Why? Maybe she liked it.

What do you mean by “we have to stand there and be degraded” ?

If if one disagrees with us, stops accusing us of being socialists.

Deal?

“The race card is overused by both sides…but it does not mean that race is not an issue.”

Race was far less of an issue until the left redefined racism.

America is not a racist country. America is the most successful mixing of racially and religiously diverse people on this planet.

Sadly there’s a professor on some college campus somewhere teaching our kids who would tell you I m failing to recognize my own failings because of my privileged “whiteness” just for saying that.

The overwhelming majority of Americans are good decent imperfect people living their lives and getting along with their neighbors. It is the liberal left trying to convince the world this a nation full of racists.

I ve never been as disgusted with two so called leaders as I was yesterday when our first female Vice President…a woman of color ( and a complete fraud politically as far as I m concern)…and our president, who was VP under our first President of Color…stood up following an example of our legal system working with the Chauvin conviction and talked about White Supremacy and systemic racism.

Multiple analysts and highly paid members of the “contributors” class on MessNbc and cnn actually seemed to think yesterday was a bad day.

Enough already.

“Bigots Exist”.

Yes they do. Government isn’t going to change that…

But I wonder…when liberals are now spending everyday telling us all we re a bunch of bigots…when little children are being lectured about their “whiteness” in the classroom…

Are we eliminating racism…or are we creating more of it?

A very smart man once spoke of judging people not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

The left in America today pulls us farther and farther from that lofty goal every day.

This country is not a racist nation.

This is a great OP my friend.

Too bad there’s too much common sense in there for many to accept.

Nicely done.

Almost every death that occurs at the hands of the police, begins with the disregard of a legal police directive. When that happens, the entire encounter then exponentially increases the probability of the officer being hurt or losing their life. That’s a fact and that’s the problem. Fix this…and the number of people losing their lives will be significantly reduced.

I suggest you read The Three Evils speech by that same very smart man and then come back here and report your thoughts on it.

You’ll love it. It’s got socialism, reparations, redistribution of wealth, and anti-war radicalism!

“Now we are dealing with issues that will cost the nation something in terms of billions of dollars and the other thing that we must see is that we are now dealing with issues that will demand a radical redistribution of economic and political power.”

You already love it, don’t you! King sounds exactly like a conservative white boomer/traditionalist!

Prove it.

The videos recorded of the confrontations already have. Get bz and get educated.

Oddly, America didn’t make that speech famous but instead went with his message of equality instead of equity. Liking his I have a dream speech doesn’t obligate anyone to agree with any of that.
