After all, what options did Byrd have? Other than maybe saying “get down away from that window, woman. I have a gun and am not afraid to use it”. Or yelling at some of the cops out by her “stop that woman or I will”. Or lettin her come through and cuffing her. Or….

Yes … The ICE agent was facing an imminent threat of death or grievous injury and Byrd wasn’t. Very different circumstances. Byrd murdered Ashley and the ICE cop was justified to shoot Renee. Very different.

The are not different circumstances. Not really. Byrd got scared. He also had options.

Ice agent placed himself in the dangerous situation. He didn’t have to.
Byrd got scared and pulled the trigger.

I’m shocked. 
He had more than options, he had the law telling him that unless there is an imminent threat of death or grievous injury, you can’t just shoot them to make them stop what they’re doing.
It wouldn’t have been dangerous if Renee had complied with the commands of the other officers. Byrd was scared, yes, but he was never in danger whether Ashley had complied or not. The two situations are very different.

By what? That I can so easily demonstrate with the facts that one was murder and the other was not? Why do you find that shocking?

They could have easily have cuffed her.
She was not coming at them with a gun (or a car).
Circustances are totally different and our libs know it.

They are not different no matter how much you want them to he. Both involved bad choices by cops.
Self defense in one case and murder in the other.
It’s not self defense if you create the situation by putting yourself in front of a moving vehicle
