It makes me sick. I would support every single one of them who participated being taken out behind a courthouse and shot after a guilty verdict. I don’t care about their ages. They were man enough to kill another person with their bare hands. They should be treated like adult males in the sentencing.

The dead guy threw the first punch according to the OP’s source. If acknowledging facts is defending thugs, then so be it.

Are you forgetting what started the incident? How about it is wrong to steal in the first place. Maybe if these little cretins were severely punished for things like stealing we’d have a less violent society.

The teen who was beaten to death started the fight by sucker punching someone, according to the links you posted. So no, I wouldn’t call it a hate crime.

It’s my understanding that he got into a fight, protecting his smaller friend, who was just attacked and robbed by this group of thugs. They then all ganged up on him and beat him to death. You can’t help but notice that the skin color of this attacking group appear to be the same, indicating very strongly…yes…this is a hate crime. Now the question is, those “links”…where do they stand and what will the sheople be fed?

I was just reading this thinking the same thing. A mob beat a 17 year who was defending a friend to death … and the libs on this thread are worrying about who threw the first punch?

How about wonder who threw the last 100 punches. Why did he need to be punched and kicked until he was dead?

And I see the new lib line is “why does race matter to you?” Well let’s see a mob that happened to be mostly black be a teenager who is white to death…and we on the right have spent the last decade being called racists and white supremacists for far less than beating someone to death. So yeah the ethnicity of the murderers in this story would seem to be a legitimate dynamic…at least according to the rules of the game established by the liberal left.

Now I will say this. Even though I do not believe race really played a role in this gang beating (they’d have done a black kid the exact same way) I will say that based solely on the optics of it we must treat it as a racial incident. It’s impossible to separate the optics from the racial mix involved.

Well, I am a Lib and I agree with you here. Should be the same on both sides of the equation. To me, I don’t consider this racist but just brutality for its own sake. The mob against the individual, color not withstanding. But it is reasonable to posit whether racism played a part. I just think that if the murder victim was black and the mob was black, it would have still happened. And it happens everyday in America. Violence for its own sake.

No it’s not…the very act of murder especially in a 15-1 beat down is itself a hate crime. I’ve actually never seen the need for the classification of a crime like this as a “hate” crime. Murder and with life in prison or the death penalty are fine with me.

That said, you cannot argue (well you probably can because I’ve read your posts for a long time) that this was a black on white crime. Does that mean race caused this attack, no, as @Red Comet pointed out these thugs would have done a black or Hispanic or anyone else the same way.
But for a very long time now race has been used as a cudgel to silence conservatives …y’all washed out the significance of racism simply by calling everything racist.

No when a bunch of black kids kill a white kid I have to wonder how loud the howls from you and others would be if the roles had been reversed.
