The Good, the Bad, the Ugly
Unfortunately, there are hundreds of videos just like this on YouTube. My husband watches them often and now views cops as people to avoid at all costs. But, was it always like this? Is it the fact that everyone now carries a movie studio in their pockets that is bringing this behavior to light? I remember growing up in the Bronx, when everyone knew the beat cops and they knew us all by name. There was even one cop that played hopscotch with us. We looked at cops as heroes back then. Now when I see a cop, I avoid all eye contact and move far, far away. I’ve seen way too many innocent people get roughed up and charged with bogus crimes.
Chances are, your agents of the state don’t actually live in your town. They have become an occupying force.
Radley Balko makes a case for the 3rd Amendment in Rise of the Warrior Cop.
Youtube creates the illusion of things being everywhere simply because people somewhere get on video.
I advise people to realize that unless you encounter someone who has come on shift not too long ago you are dealing with someone who will have been dealing unhappy, annoyed and annoying people all day long … like getting “served” at the DMV only just without the “D”.
Expect grumps, they are not happy to see you either and probably just want to go home and wind down.

Exactly.
Now try to imagine the cop has encountered 20 or so people with exactly that attitude by the end of his shift.
What attitude? What attitude did that gentleman in the above video have?
I was only talking about cops in general.
