What happens when NY's Marxist dream turns into a nightmare?

These nitwits think they are the first people to try Marxism. They are not. For 100 years it has failed. And will fail again.

People should be able to figure out if they can afford kids or how many without breeding like rabbits and expecting others to support their children for them.

I never expected others to support me and paid ALL my own bills including taking care of my kids.

That is so true and what the essence of libism is all about. I’ve said this multiple times, the promise of Mamdani is coming after 20 plus years of libs running NYC! And like every other lib before him Mamdani will also be a failure because their policies suck.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani assembled the City Hall press corps Wednesday to announce his shock at finding a $12 billion budget hole . . . that everyone worth his salt has been flagging for a year.

Heck, a hole that Mayor Eric Adams warned about in 2023 at the height of, and as a result of, the migrant crisis.

Mamdani’s pretend budget crisis (more threatening than the Great Recession, he claims) is designed purely to gin up support for soak-the-rich tax hikes to fund his promised billions in new spending.

Also the unrealistic promises regarding education:

Can NYC meet looming class size mandates? Top leaders are skeptical - Chalkbeat https://share.google/8k9SO8PCI2PMD5xQ1

These low IQ lawmakers have it so ■■■■■■■ easy, make all sorts of promises and legislation without a ■■■■■■■ clue of how to pay for it!

Both officials said that the city would need a significant increase in funds, building space, and teachers to meet targets in a state law that requires schools to limit classes to between 20 and 25 students, depending on the grade. The law mandates that 80% of classes meet the limit next school year. State officials can withhold funding if the city’s Education Department fails to comply with the law.

Oh no!!! So nobody gets all the free crap he promised? Who knew that Marxists were such liars?

Oh, and he also is allowing N.Y. to become an enormous campground. Thirteen of his campers just froze to death.

And in true communista compassion, he don’t give a ■■■■■ That’s 13 less social program dependents they have to worry about.

Ahh yes, there you go with that common sense thingy. The “near do wells” including a certain demographic that worships the moon god breed like rodents. They have this welfare system figured out and how to game the system. Thank you LBJ, your “Great Society” ain’t so great anymore.

Perhaps Mamdani thought that a budget hole was where they stashed money that they didn’t need to spend. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hopefully there will be enough money in the taxpayers kitty to pay Trump the billions he is suing the IRS for to do with them realising his tax returns that he’s supposed to do anyway.
Will the taxpayers have the money to pay a billionaire president suing his own government and putting the tab on them.

Other than owning property there, Trump has nothing to do with NYC. Control your TDS.

I hope the BBC has the money they owe Trump for that dishonest heavily edited hit piece they put out?

NYC will have no economic problems. They welcome migrants, and I have been told many times in this very forum that these immigrants are good for the economy. They will be rolling in dough.

Maybe if the migrants are from Qarar, Kuwait or the UAE.

Yep, the liberal mantra is that flooding America with poverty will mean prosperity for us all!

Nope. Their “compassion” extends to anyone who can give them power. Illegal invaders, the dependent class etc. Their “compassion” might be the grand daddy of all their lies.

Wonder if Mamdonenothing knows the function of the NYC Departments of Public Works and Sanitation?

You really can’t make this ■■■■ up!

The slow down is absolutely on city government. The head of which is the mayor. But there is no large outcry about garbage removal. Large garbage piles next to buildings can accumulate within one week or aka two days garbage pick up

The sanitation department hasn’t removed this much snow in about a decade. They’ll catch up. I think that’s the bigger issue. Once snow disappeared for years there was no plan for what happens when it reappears.

There’s no such thing as the department of public works. It hasn’t existed for decades and when it did it dealt with architectural planning.

Sounds to me like a man who has paid his debt to society, took responsibility for his actions and turned his life around. He knows the system, he knows the challenges of that system. I say give him a chance.
